You compared JG to jimmy Johnson. That alone, is moronic. And a sure sign of an agenda. The players are justified in questioning the coaching on this team.

Constant under achieving, playing down to competition, doesn't know how to utilize weapons(dez),.. This all falls on JG. Why would anyone want him to be our coach going forward?

I did? where?

seems more likely you can't read real well.

I compared how players react to losing.

The fact that Jimmy won a National Championship at the college level gained the players support. Once he cleaned house he had a roster full of mostly young players and the remaining vets hadn't won anything in years. The players knew when Jimmy arrived it was going to take time he was taking over a 3-13 team that was starting a rookie QB. It's hard for players to support Garrett he had never been a head coach until he took over the Cowboys. They see him as just another Jerry Jones puppet.

can I have your autograph?

I mean, you were obviously in the locker room during our losing years to claim what you claimed. So you must be famous. sign something for me!

Good. Romo and Bryant were just quoted as being in huge support of this.

Its amazing how so many of us here on this board know more than a 3x superbowl winning billionaire team owner... Not to mention how we all know so much more than the teams pro bowl QB.

Of course there not gonna go on record bashing their coach. That would only look bad on their part. The only way to criticize a coach, if your a player and don't want to look bad, is to do it off the record to broaddus. Like they have done.

It's not crazy to think some ppl on this board could do a better job building a team than Jerry. Actually I think it's likely most of us could do better.

We know what mediocrity looks like.

We'll see if Jerry feels the same way after this season collapses around him.

Some of the players who were in the locker room during those 2 losing seasons under Jimmy claimed the same thing. For Jimmy to build the Cowboys into the dynasty they became the players had to support him. The team was losing before Jimmy arrived he had a rebuilding project ahead of him and everyone including the players knew it. No one expected instant success it was going to take time. Any player who wasn't buying into Jimmy's approach was booted out his revolving door during the first 2 seasons. He was binging players in and booting players out.

You said "do you think all the players were on board when we were losing under jimmy?."

That's a comparison. Quit playing games. Figure out what your own stance is and stick with it and try to back up your assertions with facts. You seem incapable of putting your own thoughts into words. So you just use short replies that have little to do with the real topic. (Ex: the stupid response you just gave to KJJ)... You have brought nothing to this discussion.

cherry picking at it's finest

unless you can offer something more substantial, i'm done with you

Jerry Jones' playoff win record as a GM is the second worse in the NFL spanning the period beginning in '96. There's nothing cherry picked there, it represents Jerry's body of work independent of Jimmy Johnson and the full influence of Jimmy's players, in it's entirety. There is nothing more representative than playoff success, and Jerry is the 2nd worse at it over that time span. If your done with anything, ...it's reality.

Here is the problem no one is addressing. Next year the Eagle qb will, like his head coach, have a year of experience under his belt.
They are going to improve and be formidable. Us? Any improvements from us would seem to be less obvious. Witten, Ware and Tony will all be aging 30 yr. olds. I don't like the way it looks from here.

It's pretty clear I am comparing how players react to losing.

so you couldn't be more wrong.

Jimmy's influence lasted longer then the beginning of 96.

you cherry picked your dates to coincide with our inability to win playoff games. it was cherry picking at it's finest. what a joke!

I said the same thing about the Commanders last year.

Can't say that I would be surprised if he came back. However, if there are any more 49-17 games left on the schedule, that could easily change.

Yeah everyone else that is arguing with you is wrong. And you're right. Even tho nobody has agreed with anything you have to say. Lol.

I don't even know what your actual stance is on JG and Jerry bc your replies are around 5-10 words long and have no substance to them.

I'm not wrong, you just have no idea how to get your point across using the English language. So it's easy to misinterpret what you say.

OK cool, so if we will wipe out the playoff win in '96 against the Vikings (with Jimmy's guys) it leaves Jerry with a single playoff win, rather than 2. Jerry has failed at near record levels in the post salary cap era, I'm not sure what post-Jimmy time frame you'd like to use, but his performance over all of them have been terrible.
