Long as he can keep it up I have no problem with him. I was very skeptical of him at first. He's a solid tackler too.

I don't remember the last time Dallas had a kicker that didn't make me cringe and hold my breath when he kicked. Cundiff certainly did.

Cortez has played well so far and it looks like he has plenty of leg. He had a couple of touchbacks today as well.

I don't want to let up just yet, that's when the player bites you in the ***. Parcells has done a good job in putting him in comfortable positions to make the field goal. Not much pressure as of yet, and he doesn't put him in when the FG is long.

Totally agree with you Dale. Cortez deserves a game ball today to. That 45 yarder he made was sweet. Down the middle and had more then nuff leg to go 50+ if needed.

I agree entirely. We haven't asked him to make game winners or really connect from 48 yards or longer.

But still, I never expected an 8-for-9 performance even if he was kicking nothing but 30 yarders lol.

I agree. I've been proud of Cortez. I'm slowly getting a little more comfortable with his kicks, but it still feels like an adventure on every kick. He's been solid though.
