Watch his highlights and then tell me you wouldn't choose him over all but maybe 3 or 4 backs in this past draft.

Duke Johnson? Please.

Randle finished runs in college. I look forward to seeing him be a bigger part of the offense.

He averaged.. What... 5.7 or 6.7 yards per carry last year?

I agree. I watched his highlights when we drafted him and thought he looked like a pretty complete back. I've really liked everything about him except for his off the field knuckle-headedness, but if he can grow up some, I see no reason he can't be a really effective lead back.

I'm no Murray lover or Randle lover. But before Murray was Murray last year, compare their college stats and highlight tapes and it would be very hard to say which was best. Randle had better stats, Murray is taller.

Here's a better highlight, complete back during this game.

Not trying to thread hijack, but this needs to be posted as well:

Look at that agility.

Ryan Williams just hasn't stayed healthy. He can play. Big difference between him and say a guy like Trent Richardson.

Randle's tape was impressive too. Hell, his 2014 Cowboys tape is impressive. People just wanted a new shiny toy.

IMO, none of the later round RBs were noticeably better than Randle or Williams. Randle is sort of a knucklehead and Williams is a lot like Demarco and gets hurt all the time. I'm pumped about the season.

Randle is better than probably every back in the draft except may gurley and Gordon which their not even proven yet. Randle is far from proven but he ran the ball pretty damn good last year when the opportunities arose. Randall and dmc will tote the rock pretty well this season!

Randle really only had limited opportunity since we rode our horse Murray who actually stayed healthy all season

What I like about Randle is that he showed some nice flashes with limited carries last season. However, almost every single RB in the NFL has impressive college highlights.

From a pure experimental standpoint I want to see them give Randle the ball the same amount of times as Murray and just see what happens.

FWIW, Drew Boylhardt (The Huddle Report) rated him as a 2nd Rd Talent. Pretty much nailed his analysis.

I'm a big fan of Randle on the field. If he can get 10-12 carries a game I think he will produce. I don't understand why he gets so much hate and definitely don't get why his talents so easily dismissed. Every time he got a chancelast year he produced.

Also for some good college tape, Ryan Williams is better than Randle. If he was in this last class I bet he would have been the 3rd RB chosen.

Agreed... while it always pained me to see Murray go off the field last year, I always knew that Randle was liable to score when that happened.

Go back and watch this again and see how big the holes were he was running through. It's jaw dropping.

Which is what our line is expected to produce for our RB's, defense still has to respect our passing game so stacking the line can be a double edged sword.

LOL there are quite a few backs that I would have taken over Randle. Randle is not a complete back. However, he is a good change of pace back that benefit heavily from Murray running the ball and softening up the defense. I don't think he is the type to be the featured back.

Cowboys really need better competition in camp to determine who is the best running back. The 4 backs we have now has to many question marks to rely on for the entire season.
