I see as a complete back as someone that can be the featured back thats able to carry the team with at least 15-20 carries a game. Where he's able to break tackles and make the tough yardages when its needed the most.

I'm calling BS. Randle in college was a better receiver out of the backfield than Murray, and he's always "broke tackles", and when given 15-20 touches per game his stats are BETTER than Murray's. Yeah he's a knucklehead sometimes, but Murray will probably miss 4-6 games this year like usual (same results as a suspension). Randle needs his chance. Murray wasn't Murray until last year, his contract year.

Not trying to thread hijack, but this needs to be posted as well:

Look at that agility.

Ryan Williams just hasn't stayed healthy. He can play. Big difference between him and say a guy like Trent Richardson.

Randle's tape was impressive too. Hell, his 2014 Cowboys tape is impressive. People just wanted a new shiny toy.

I actually like Ryan Williams style the best for our scheme, But has there ever been a running back that was a bust in his first five seasons in the NFL that later became anything special at all? I can't think of any right now and that bothers me about Williams.

SMH at the dumbarse GODell calling Aeneas a safety. Someone should have told the fool that Aeneas was a corner.

Watch his highlights and then tell me you wouldn't choose him over all but maybe 3 or 4 backs in this past draft.

Duke Johnson? Please.

Randle finished runs in college. I look forward to seeing him be a bigger part of the offense.

He averaged.. What... 5.7 or 6.7 yards per carry last year?

Yes, I said it before the draft that Randle, based strictly on game footage, would have been at worst a 3rd round pick this year and possibly and 2nd rounder. He only fell to the 5th when he was drafted because he was already known to be a knuckle-head.

Ryan Williams had terrific game footage also. He likely would have been the 3rd RB picked in this draft.

Something i havent seen mentioned much is that hes a really good pass catcher, might be even better than Murray, also just as a good in pass protection. at worst he will be our 3rd down back this season

Like I said in another forum, if the dude gives me 1400 yds. I dont give a **** how much underwear he steals, less than that he is still a **** tard.
At least he didn't steal the drawers from Walmart, he went more uptown. Yea a knucklehead but a talented one none the less.

One thing is certain- Training Camp and the Pre-Season are going to be absolutely fascinating.
I'm looking forward to some good, juicy, in-depth analysis on every one of these RB's by the resident film watchers here because I'm an avid film-watcher reader.

And then smile as Alexander and Risen poo-poo it all when the sunshine pumping begins as hope springs eternal, but not on the planet Cynicalia where they reside and Idgit and Jstopper and a few others will bounce back at them because they... just have to. I'm not questioning it- I just enjoy. They'll be cornered into the title of "Homer", or whatever- I hope the name calling between the factions will be creative and fierce.

I kid. No I'm not, but that's off the record.

I am already anxious and giddy over the coming work that's set to get underway way too many weeks from now...
Getting time to get the band back together and put the meat back on the menu boys! I'm ready to party. I fully intend to be in Oxnard for camp- if only to escape the desert heat of El Paso for a couple of weeks.

Us fans should make it a tradition to throw tightie-whities on the field every time he gets a touchdown.
Like that hockey team that the fans throw octopi on the ice. Like the Red Raiders throw tortillas for some strange reason...
It can be both a praise and a shame at the same time! Damn! I'm efficient! And it would be hilarious...

I usually refuse to acknowledge the existence of 'instincts', so I'll say Randle seems to frequently make really good run decisions in the moment. Murray and McFadden are much more mechanical runners, despite being faster/better athletes.

Hopefully Williams and the coaches used his year on the PS to turn him into a pass protect-** master. In that Texas video, Randle really unloads on some Longhorns and was otherwise pretty sound in his assignments beyond running.

Mcfadden is going to be the starting RB here

The only question I have is his durability...if he can stay healthy...he will have a pretty good season

Just to play devil's advocate:

http://sportswunderkind.com/player-evaluation-joseph-randle-rb-osu/

I don't remember how Randle's pass blocking has been since being drafted but whichever RB does that best will probably be the starter. We all know this team ain't going nowhere if Romo goes down.

I would take Randle, with 3 years of NFL coaching and experience with pass protection, over a rookie with none. There difference would be the running ability between Randle and a rookie and I don't think that any of them besides Gurley and Gordon were better, with Coleman being pretty close.
