News: Joseph Randle's leap does not impress coaches

They should cut him after he said that. No leader at all and mediocre as a running back.

I don't think he said that to Garrett. I think that was said or overheard by media at some point when he was asked about it.

Joseph Randle raised the ire of the entire coaching staff with his 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter by jumping over the top, exposing the ball. The play was initially ruled a fumble until a replay review gave Randle the touchdown.

It didn’t make the coaches feel any better. Offensive line coach Frank Pollack was the first to meet Randle before he got to the sideline. Running backs coach Gary Brown kicked the bench and had to be calmed down by Lance Dunbar and Darren McFadden.

Even after the call was overturned, head coach Jason Garrett appeared to have strong words for Randle.

In the Week 3 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Randle had a 1-yard touchdown dive over the top in the second quarter but was told by the coaches to stop leaping. That he would do it again a week later had the coaches apoplectic.

i can only think someone promised him some spiderman underoos if he did it again or something. but i can only guess this is why he didn't come back after that very much. i was MORE than peo'd that he did it but knew it was a TD. just stupid.

He said some thing stupid to Garrett, His face matched his hair there for a while.

Kid made a mistake based on his desire to score that resulted in 6 points and people want him benched.

The coaching and playcalling was beyond atrocious and actually gave away points, but it's "in Garrett we trust."

This team is broken. Selective accountability.

It seemed to not impress some of his teammates too. Lawrence didn't look too pleased and said something that Randle fired back at him. And I saw someone tweeted during the game that Witten had something to say to Randle harshly on the sideline as well.

What makes it even worse is if the coaching staff told him just days ago to not do that and he did it anyway? What a ******* bum.

We knew decision-making was going to be one of the issues with trying to replace Murray with Randle. Well ... some of us did.

Jason Garrett was none too please about Joseph Randle's near fumble.

Chris Johnson would be looking mighty good right now, but nah we got Dmac/Randle and Cmike .... Losing Dunbar is a huge loss, especially with Brandon Weeden as our QB.

Then you must have hated Jimmy. Hell Dallas could not win games at all with Emmitt Smith out that is 1 player Garrett has a boat load of key players out of the lineup.

Yeah because Jimmy would go 8-8 for 3 straight seasons with one of the best QB's in the national football league.

Garrett is garbage. His process will have gone on for over 5 seasons with NOTHING to show for it. He has the talent. The excuses will always be endless for the ginger.

I've been a Randle supporter and this TD is what broke my support for him. Give the ball to DMC and CMike

I don't want him benched for making a mistake. I want him benched for still not understanding it was a mistake.

And I don't agree that the issues were with playcalling or coaching at all. Again.

No Jimmy went 1-15. Fact is when one of the triplets were out of the game Dallas struggled to win, thankfully none during that time missed a lot of games but when any were out we struggled. Fact is our QB is out, our star WR out several injuries and suspension on defense you bet this team is struggling and so did Jimmy with a lot less. Excuses? NO, FACT.

Jason is still responsible to get this team to produce even if the situation at hand is difficult.
