Josh Allen's nugget on Dak's $60M contract

the niners are the one team that’s more than likely to go back into the market. they’ve had high level success with 3 different non top ten guys. team had their worst season in purdys contract year, and we’re seeing a journeyman resurgence. i don’t think purdy has anywhere near a blank check or leverage.
Oh I do. That Lance trade should’ve set them back some years. And it largely probably did. But let’s be honest. Jimmy G was ok but he wasn’t Purdy. If he doesn’t get 60 plus I will assume he took a pay cut.

it’s even more than 5 mil because he could’ve easily pressed to top daks deal, but that’s besides the point. and it’s not “for the players” it’s for the qbs, who already are the most outsized players in sports.
Are the qbs not players? What am I missing?

yeah that’s my point. they’re not qb reliant. they’re a model of building everything else up. don’t see it changing for him. he’s not special

They are though. They won nothing with Jimmy G.

And I don’t know about special. Mahomes is special. And no one comes close to him so I’d agree. But he’s a great football player and he’s young. He’s been an all pro and to a SB. He’s not Mahomes but they don’t need him to be.

No not at all. Jerry didn't even inquire about Henry.
"Hats off to him. He had a great day today. Have all the respect in the world for him," Jones said, per ESPN. "And so that's what happens when you don't sign good ones: They can come back and have a great game against you. But bottom line is we couldn't afford Derrick Henry."

Interesting.........

This is a healthy human being.

This more more more.. This comes from compensating psychological deficiencies. All that produces stress, anger, self destruction, cancer.

Just look how many cancers we have in our locker room.

I have liked the guy for years now. His comment just fits the way i see him. Buffalo is a good franchise. Good franchises attrackt good people and players. People you want to share your precious time with.

I wish him all the best.

Allen came in as a first round pick and made multiple millions from day one.

Dak came in and played for thousands and I think wants to tax the Cowboys for it. Just my opinion.
Now that's true leadership quality right there!

This is how any sensible athlete should be. Someone should send that video to Dak, lol.

In all seriousness though I do think something happened earlier on when Dak was on his rookie contract that led him to his current approach. We waited a while to sign him and I wonder if he asked for a new contract and was told they would wait and decided on that day he would push it higher every opportunity.

Well he plays for the Bills. If he was in Dallas he'd take the money knowing this FO won't use the cap space on legit talent.
