per Rotoworld...

Just a hypothetical, if we re-signed Dez, lost Murray to FA, signed Adrian Peterson to a team friendly contract, and worked a deal to get Josh Gordon, just think about how terrifying that lineup would look.

Remember this is a hypothetical and I'm only looking at talent so save the child abuse jokes.

You'd have to account for 2 STUDS at WR. Along with AP behind the best O-line in the league.

Our draft would be heavy on the defensive side and we'd have a healthy Lee, McClain, and Spencer returning, and Lawrence would have a year of experience under his belt.

Go ahead and roast away but don't tell me the thought of that isn't exciting!

As a FA, I wouldn't be opposed as you arent depending on him. Our offense without him is very good. With him it would unstoppable.

He is a guy if you add you do so knowing he is one foot out the door and do so accordingly

Gordon is very talented, and very productive, but also very troubled. The production of Cleveland's offense went DOWN by over 50 yards per game, and they went 1-4 after he was activated. He's one strike away from a permanent ban from the league. The guy should be considered radioactive.

Can someone please explain to me why the Vikings just flat out would release AP? I mean, he is still under contract. I would at least try to trade him and get something out of him.

I would be fine with Peterson if he wants to pad his career stats more than he wants to get paid.

Gordon would lkely get suspended at some point. He would have to be content getting only slightly more balls thrown to him than T.Williams has this year. The Cowboys use the #2 WR to clear out defenders for Dez, and the underneath guys like Witten and Beasley.

Because his 2015 salary is scheduled to be over 12M.

You won't see me complaining about going all in during Romo's last years.

And all those dismissing the idea would quickly change their tune if this happened. Suddenly Gordon would be an outstanding human being who is just misunderstood.

If you hear that from me, hit me in the head with a brick.

I thought about the same thing this morning. I would get flamed for making this topic, but I think there is validity to it.

If Gordon is released, I would sign him and trade Williams for a pick or a player to help the defense.

The offense would be unstoppable and the defense would be much upgraded.

No thanks. I don't believe this kid has hit rock bottom yet in his life. Let him sink with another franchise, not the Cowboys.

I said not to tell me that

OK I won't tell you that it is not exciting at all
We are just supposed to ignore ALL the baggage that will cause one of the most talented WRs in the NFL to potentially be let go by the team he plays for........

Got it:rolleyes:

Obviously, and this shouldn't even need to be said, if you acquire a talent like Gordon you adjust your offense accordingly. You don't treat him like he's Terrance Williams.
