Mcdaniels is a ****** bag that actually advocated drafting Tim Tebow. Belicheck makes him look like ten times the coach he actually is. He's just another Patriots assistant that will fail when they take over their own team.
He has already failed once in DEN and then got talked into reneging on the Colts gig to take over for Belichick when he hangs it up.

Give me Brady and those receivers and I can be a pretty good OC too.

9 years on the upswing, 2 playoff win's, your on the upswing is as twisted as Jerry's. JG is mediocre coach at best, take off the rose colored glasses, if he wasn't JJ puppet boy he wouldn't be here and because Jerry is the de-facto coach it will be real hard to get a decent HC . Don't get me wrong for the money JJ pays JG he would be a fool not to take every penny from JJ he can just as anyone would. Poor old fool Jerry destroys a franchise just so he can say "I did everything" all credit is his; should they win another SB in his life time. 23 years and JJ is still in denial that he just isn't a football man.

I read this and I hear it in the voice of Cletus from The Simpsons.

The 2018 results with a young team is a positive sign, but one year does not make a trend. As for the last 5 years, we have had 12 wins, 4 wins, 13 wins, 9 wins (with an assist from the Eagles sitting their starters) and 10 wins. An “upward trend” would be steady improvement in each year, but starting with 12, and ending with 10, with a jumble between, doesn’t really qualify. .

I should have phrased that differently, the trend isn't within the five years - its the trend of the last five years compared to the previous five. Garrett took over a old team that was declining and the first four years were .500 or worse. It now has a good young core where the team beat the Saints, who were a better team than the Rams yesterday.

Here is what they don’t tell you... They’re serious about winning but not serious enough to win unless it’s their own way.

They don’t value coaching.

Yep. And I'd like to add that my strong opinion is because the man at the top and his enabled and spoiled son DEMAND that whomever is hired kiss their butts and kiss it the way they prefer. They are pretty horrible people actually. (and not much better owners of this team) That's harsh, but I've felt that way for a very long time, and deep down you guys know it's true. Having a lifelong allegiance to a team (I started following this team in 1978) has nothing to do with the ownership. Just ask the Raiders, Lions and Cardinals fans. They have similarly horrible people running their teams too.

No they weren't. Rams beat them on the road after being down 13 pts. early on. Some of you whining about that call are beyond amusing.

McDaniels absolutely sucked in Denver and he knows he’ll get exposed if he leaves again. This guy drafted Tebow.

There are a few untouchables on the Patriots staff that make everything go. Bill Bellichek, Ernie Adams and Dante Scarnecchia... The rest are plug and play.

Two weeks ago that was "win a game in the playoffs" and a month before that it was "make the playoffs".

Dallas just fired the OC that got them the wins in the playoffs. Jason as HC/OC never got them into the playoffs, let alone won a game.

Dude is over hype. Brady is making that whole thing work.

No Bellichek and Ernie Adams and Dante Scarnecchia are more influential in making it work. You think Brady devises the pick plays that are the heavy staple of the Patriots offense and devises the game plans that are tailored to every opponent on a weekly basis?

I didn't mention the call, much less whine about it. The Saints are a better team.

If you think Dallas won against the Seahawks because of Scott Linehan, you might be the only one on Earth who does.

When Dak homers need to defend Dak, Romo had a great team that was stacked but couldn’t get to the playoffs. When they need to defend Garrett even though he had more authority during that stretch than now, particularly over the offense, Garrett took over a team that was clearly declining and sucked.

Reality is Garrett’s power was trimmed by Jerry and McClay actually came around which is actually what led to the improvement.

If you think Dallas improvement the last four years was because of Garrett, especially when he got his play calling duties revoked and Jerry said they were training him and he will have an ambiguous role, you are probably related to him.

Facts say that Dallas only got to the playoffs with Garrett as HC when Garrett was stripped of play calling duties and made a walk around HC and Linehan took over the role of play calling.

Oh yeah and don’t forget that the guy that originally built the OL and the running game, Callahan was another guy Jason feuded with and Dallas lucked into.

Stephen says Jerry is serious about winning. Ok, Jerry.....you should now see what it takes.....you back up the Brinks truck for McDaniels, and get rid of that red headed goof ball that we've had to endure for almost 10 wasted seasons. We are currently a LONG ways off from what we saw today in both games!!!
mcdaniels failed miserably in Denver as head coach. he called all the shots.... in fact name a successful coach from Bilicheck coaching tree? compared to how many have tried from his coaching tree.

The Chiefs fired Schottenheimer after a 9-7 team lost a wildcard game. They went 10 - 38 over their next three seasons.

The Packers fired Holmgren and Mike Sherman had a winning record replacing him, but noone considers that a good move. When the Seahawks fired Holmgren after a 4-12 season they went 19 -29 over their next three seasons.

When the 49ers fired Mariucci they followed that with 7 straight losing seasons.
Didnt see this as it wasn't a reply

No Schottenheimer was fired in 1998 after going 7-9. Gunther Cunningham went 9-7 the next year, 7-9 the following. He was fired and Vermeil cam in and posted a winning record of 44-36 in 5 seasons. They didnt win in post season and schottenheimer never won a playoff game in SD. He was fired after 14-2 season. But KC never had a solid franchise QB during Marty's time either. Deberg (3), Kreig (1), Montana (2), Bono (2), Grbac/Gannon (2), Grbac (3). AFter he left Trent Green was the Franchise

And Mariucci, what was his stellar coaching record at Detroit? 15-28 and no winning seasons.

All this is a red herring. ]the question is what do you suppose the owners and GMs rationale was to fire the coaches of the Bucs, Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, 9ers, etc. at that time?

McDaniels will be running the show in New England sooner than people think. He will be HC and GM. Belechick was thinking about retirement last season and it is a real possibility it happens after the Super Bowl. Why do you think that McDaniels walked away from the Colts job after being hired? He was promised the keys to the Patriots kingdom! No way will he come he just to be a HC.

McDaniels is a by-product of one Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr.
