Your avatar is hilarious, I use it myself on caller I.D. for an ex's #,,, depends on my mood weather to answer it or not,,, and about that ' rub route'?,,, flag on the play! Rico Suave gets ejected,,, expect nothing less,,,I've got a feeling with o.t. rule change and fireworks shooting out of showboating player's shoulder pads when ever they score t.d.'s now , that the evil side of game manipulation by B.S. flags and calls this season will be on full display.

My initial thought as well,,, gee, thanks NFL for making a rule change that improves nothing.

Is this guy for real, being quoted talking trash and then blames the media? Let's hope Dez takes the high road, doesn't respond in kind but quietly uses this as motivation, especially the next time he meets Norman.

I love Dez but Dez has never been a mentally strong cat I hate to say that but he let's these guys get into his head

The mental part is not necessarily meaning he is stupid.

I firmly believe he is held back by the approach he takes to the game, which is far more physical and not very reliant on guile and precision. That is what made players like Rice special.

Eventually the injuries he has suffered will impact his ability to play the kind of football he is accustomed to. His capability to adapt to that will determine whether or not he is able to maintain production as his skills decline. Norman has a clear point, he wins now by "bullying" lesser opponents and feasts on them. I do not think he is out there running confusing routes or even the most precise ones. He still relies on being bigger and stronger than others. Eventually, that won't work as much.

yeah obviously. that's his bread and butter, and if YOU didn't mean it like that, then sorry for using your post as a springboard to go on a tangent. Just hear that stuff regularly around here and it's really annoying. but yes, dez will definitely need to adapt if he'd like to remain relevant. no one can get by on athleticism/physical play for long

Haha. Washington did the switch. Dez put up 12 for 174 in two wins. Take your fake news elsewhere.

Sorry, this is not true. This was an issue for the first half of the season, people were complaining that Norman was being paid a lot of money, and OCs were neutralizing him by moving their best WR to Breeland's side. It was even a point of discussion by he commentators DURING the game.

Norman is doing is schtick. He is a very good corner, but not shutdown. He uses the trash talk to his advantage. ODB was having none of it last year and dominated him, Dez on the other hand showed Josh he could be manipulated. So this will continue until Dez proves he can block Norman out and do more than one juke where he doesn't even get the ball.

He was, which makes this thread so confusing. It's the first thing I thought when I saw the OP. Like, didn't he just gush over him on the Dez NFL vid.

Norman is very wishy washy.

What he said in the NFL top 100 was how he really feels. What he said in this interview is to get under Dez's skin and he's starting early lol.

Everything in the post was true. Dez put up nearly 100 yards before the Commanders moved Norman in the first game. He did set up multiple TDs. He did Walk on em. Norman did get swept. And 6 for 87 is far from being manipulated. Take it back to the capitol.

He is just working to get into Dez Bryant's head. It has worked for CBs in the past.

...So this will continue until Dez proves he can block Norman out and do more than one juke where he doesn't even get the ball.

It'll continue, regardless. Because that's just how Norman is.

Baiting Dez can go both ways. It'll be interesting to see how/if it pays off for you guys. I'd be pretty surprised if the Cowboys don't take the high road here and then try to set something up to make a point during the games. I could see Dak taking advantage of the chance to help Dez out with this one if the opportunity presents itself. But Norman's good enough that it might not present itself.

I like having Norman in the East, though. Between Dez and OBJ, he's making enemies. Lots of opportunity for him to walk the walk. I like guys who put their chips in the middle of the table. That said, it'd be great to see Dez make an absolute *** out of him.
