Norman gets the best of Dez. Sorry guys. Dez can be taken out of games. The first game Dallas had to switch Dez to the other side of the field and slot to get him away from Norman. JN was eating his lunch.

Dez Bryant v. JN
W12, 2015: 5 tgts, 1 catch, 6 yards, 0 TD
W2, 2016: 2 tgts, 0 catches
W12, 2016: 5 tgts, 3 catches, 32 yards, 0 TD

12 targets = 4 catches 38 yards
Haha. Washington did the switch. Dez put up 12 for 174 in two wins. Take your fake news elsewhere.

Norman tried twice to hurt Dez on turkey day. Went 12 for 176. Didn't get into the end zone but set up 3 TDs. Won both games and broke out the McGregor walk.
That walk was hilarious!
He knew on the sideline they couldn't do jack**** about it either and that made it even funnier.

I read something about this over at BTB (I think) so, this Norman Einstein's plan of attack is to get ejected from the field of play?
Brilliant!

I'm hoping Linnehan draws up a rub route so Rico can smash that little hoodlum.
Your avatar is hilarious, I use it myself on caller I.D. for an ex's #,,, depends on my mood weather to answer it or not,,, and about that ' rub route'?,,, flag on the play! Rico Suave gets ejected,,, expect nothing less,,,I've got a feeling with o.t. rule change and fireworks shooting out of showboating player's shoulder pads when ever they score t.d.'s now , that the evil side of game manipulation by B.S. flags and calls this season will be on full display.

I think it's been the injuries with Dez more than anything that's led to this view of him. He had his best average per catch last year at 15.8 yards and would have topped 1,000 yards if not for injury. His number of receptions would not have matched up to his best years, though, even if he had been completely healthy.

His missed time in 2015 and 2016 could be indicative that he won't be able to stay healthy for 16 games for the rest of his career, but it would be nice for that to happen this year so he could show if there is any real decline in his play or if it is only a product of his missed time/health.

This isn't hard to see either. People forget that around the league players that suffered the same injury as Dez were saying there was no way he would come back in 2015 from that injury. And he did. But, his production was way off. If people can't see that the injury played a role in that, then they are being obtuse about the subject.

Last year Dez was hurt a little as well and Dak took time to develop some chemistry with him as Dak was still learning how to anticipate the deep throws. Plus, you had Garrett's questionable use of Dez.

Norman is a pretty decent corner. He holds on almost every play and shows why I would rather have a grabby corner that can tackle than a fast/quick non-grabby/non-tackling corner. He had 1 great season where he was surrounded by excellent pass defense talent with the 2 best cover linebackers in the league which allowed them to play nickel packages every down and Norman to play one side of the field. The Panthers thought his contract demands were ridiculous and freely let him go.

No, but those two had different mental makeups.

Bryant's problem has always been mental.

And that is part of the primitive point Norman was making.

I'm so tired of hearing this. Dez is a passionate dude that LOVES football and competing. All this "mental" ish is stupid. He's never been suspended or ejected, to my knowledge never been fined. He plays hard and gets in 1-1 pissing contests from time to time, and that makeup is what propelled him to be such a dominant player.

Also Norman just tries to attach himself to players / teams more relevant than he is to coat tail off them.

What's it going to be then, eh?

The mental part is not necessarily meaning he is stupid.

I firmly believe he is held back by the approach he takes to the game, which is far more physical and not very reliant on guile and precision. That is what made players like Rice special.

Eventually the injuries he has suffered will impact his ability to play the kind of football he is accustomed to. His capability to adapt to that will determine whether or not he is able to maintain production as his skills decline. Norman has a clear point, he wins now by "bullying" lesser opponents and feasts on them. I do not think he is out there running confusing routes or even the most precise ones. He still relies on being bigger and stronger than others. Eventually, that won't work as much.
