I doubt that. I knew a guy who had half his thumb amputated and it took months for the skin to heal. If he's playing, it will probably be with his finger not yet healed.

I don't know, but any kind of a serious cut like that, with any kind of raised heart rate, throbs like all hell for a good couple of months. Any pressure on that area will take a lot longer. Now, maybe they put a hard cast around it, but not using that hand will be a big detriment to his game and using a club move with that hand would be out of the question for a good long while.

This is my non-professional opinion, of course.

I am very smart though.

As far as JPP...it's called don't hold the dang thing in your hand when it goes off. Pretty much a basic premise of handing fireworks.
