I really hope things work out for you.

I just made a juice which consisted of 2 apples, 4 stalks of celery, 4 carrots, 1 large bunch of broccoli, and a bunch of strawberries. For now, I think I'm just going to do one large batch a day and just drink off of it all day. I may start trying different recipes in the coming days to see if I maybe I can get a breakfast type juice and then a dinner type juice that taste totally different.
We'll see.

If you do get hungry and cave, just eat the produce you were going to juice. That's the goal is to go all raw. But really stick it out. I'm warning you it is difficult, but it is also very well worth it.
Additionally, you may find it better to juice a few times a day. I do store juice, but everything I read says the fresher the better.
Good luck, man. I'm going on to my 2nd day...tomorrow is the hard part. Who knows, I may make it till monday. But really, stick with it! Also, for weight loss..if you're doing it for that, vegetables work better. But other people i talked to lost on fruit too.

So I am in. I have done 24 and 48 hour fasts before but it wasn't for health reasons but for spiritual reasons. The first day wasn't bad but the second day lasted forever.
CowboyMcCoy;4084561 said:You won't regret it. Like is said, if you need to eat try a mango or just something raw. Dude, it'll change you and the way you feel. Also, I'll post things that are useful from a nutritional standpoint. If others are doing this as well, post any info you find.
Also, I got my juicer at Wal Mart. And I don't always juice organic produce and so I just peel it or wash it with a brush really well under running water.
Cheers, Cajun.

Cajuncowboy;4084581 said:Thanks. What juicer did you buy? Do you like it?
BTW. Glad you are feeling better.
Ozzu;4084617 said:I got this one:

Had good reviews and it was less than $200 which was a goal of mine.
CowboyMcCoy;4084649 said:How has the first day been?
Ozzu;4084389 said:I know cucumbers have lots of juice, but in general, vegetables don't seem to. I could always drink the occasional V8 I guess, but that's mostly tomato.
Apples, carrots, and strawberries are probably going to be the star of most of my juices I'm thinkin.
Ozzu;4084654 said:Not bad really. Though, I did dabble in the juice fasting thing when I first got this juicer a couple of months ago. I made it to the 3rd day before I gave in.
So, I'm thinking that I'll need all the moral support I can get come that 3rd day
CowboyMcCoy;4084661 said:Yeah, it's really tough for me too. I'll be there tomorrow. But I have a plan to go to the store. Cucumbers are on sale for 3 for a dollar. I may get an apple or two to eat and just see how it goes. The reason i didn't eat raw foods is bc I don't know how my stomach will handle fiber. But if i could just eat fruits or something through that rough time, I think I could go 10 days straight....

Tomorrow is going to suuuuuuuck though. I'll definitely be posting in here as I hit that wall.
