The 3rd day needed a handful of grapes to take the edge off, but it hasn't been too bad. Still got a few more hours to go though.

Also, I would caution against getting too excited about large amounts of weight loss in a short time fasting, because a ton of it will just be water weight that you will put back on when/if you start eating a lot of carbs again. I'm a fairly lean guy, but I will lose 3 to 5 pounds in a day or two if I cut out carbs.

Plus no protein? Goodbye muscle.
CowboyMcCoy;4089587 said:To the contrary, I'm gaining mass just by going to the gym. Again, I'm not starving my body of protein. I'm just drinking it. Almost everything I drink has some protein. Not to mention, I'm going 10 days and then I can start munching on avocado and nuts and stuff.
It's really not that bad. The juice gives you this energy and really I thought I would stop today because I get crabby the first couple of days. But that's not happening anymore. I'm on top of my school and I'm making time to work out at the gym as well.
CATCH17;4090081 said:You couldnt be getting more than 15-20 grams of protein a day.
If your gaining mass then thats shocking.
Your probably just losing fat and you can see your muscle better.
Has your strength gone up?
lol i think it has too, but i would guess it cleans you out too which cant be a bad thingLeonDixson;4090528 said:Question, and I'm not just trying to be funny. But does juice fasting give you the runs? If so, that may be enough to keep me from doing it.

Today, I'm going to try that mango/cucumber/cantaloupe drink you mentioned, CowboyMcCoy. That sounded really good.
And just a running tally of weight loss: 6 pounds down and I didn't lose any the first 3 days so whatever I'm losing, it's come off in the last couple.
CowboyMcCoy;4081122 said:Has anyone tried this? I've been on a fast on and off for about a couple of weeks. I've lost 16 lbs. And I feel great. My GI dr. said my colonoscopy looked great and he didn't see any inflammation at all. I go for a follow up and and xray but it's looking pretty good in terms of the worst case scenarios being ruled out.
I'm not saying juice fasting did this at all. But I am saying that my symptoms are almost all gone and I look and feel much healthier.
Anyone have any experience with juice fasting?
CanadianCowboysFan;4092274 said:No experience but I assume that you will have to eat sooner or later so what will happen then?
