What a low down dirty shame!

That makes 2 years under 1,000 for Julius and I had such high hopes when we drafted him. It's not like 1,000 yards is insurmountable these days, especially when backups are breaking the mark every year. Sorry, but there's no excuse when going up against the 30th run defense in the NFL....at home no less!

We need a big punishing RB in the Larry Johnson mode IMO.

if you watched the game last night you would not be blaming JJ, and if you did watch it you are being ignorant

Well, there's a couple of ways to look at that.

Julius also has more yards than any RB in his first 21 games than any in Dallas Cowboys history. And it's not that close.

Julius was dogged by a nagging injury for much of the year and an unreliable OL all season, and I believe he's a franchise back.

There aren't many backs that are going to gain yards when tackled by 1 and several times 2 guys in the backfield. The Rams hovered around the line of scrimmage and Dallas did not adjust their schemes and play calling. You are right, there is no excuse for that. They should have adjusted sooner. They made some adjustments in the second half and that led to Jones' long run and Barber few good gains.

All he needed was 42 yards to hit 1,000....he got 35. If he can get 194 yards against Carolina, then he should be able to get at least 42 against the Rams don't you think?

Gosh! It really is that simple then? I suppose it's because JJ doesn't have heart. Or because he's too small.

What a joke.

It cracks me up to see all the nay-sayers coming out of the woodwork. "Our Head Coach sucks." "Our RB is not big or punishing enough." "Our Right Tackle is pathetic."

And it cracks me up that because Larry Johnson has had a breakout season and run for 8 million yards and 500 TD's that he is all the sudden the "type of RB we need".

Everyone's an expert, and no one makes a bad decision from their sofa.

By the way, did you see the stat that showed JJ has roughly 200 yards more than ANY Dallas RB in his first 20 games?

Yeah, JJ sucks real bad. We need to go ahead and waive him today.

The o-line didn't block the Rams the same way they blocked the Panthers. Payton also did not call the same type of game. I will also add that Bledsoe missed some passes where he had time and guys open. He was a little off. If he hits those passes, that may open up the running game a little. I saw only one play were Julius missed the hole and got tackled for a 1 yard gain instead of going for 5 or 6. The rest of the time, he had no chance to gain yards and no other back in the league would have had a chance either. Also, his last carry came with 11 minutes left in the game where he was tackled for a 5 yard loss. He wasn't given any more opportunities to gain those 7 last yards.

k.c. took lj off the board after they found out a few things about ab. but the problem with our run game is not the backs. no rb can get yards when they are tackled in the backfield.fix the oline, fixes the run game

I too agree that he was out for injury and had inconsistant line play.

But I also saw JJ being tackled by the first man WAY WAY too often, in the backfield or not.

I guess we need 5 Pro Bowlers on the OL for Julius to hit 1,000.

Hey wait, don't we have 3 already?

Do you think Julius gaining 7 more yards in yesterday's game magically makes Dallas a good running team? Do you really think Flozell, Allen and Riviera played at a pro-bowl level this season? There are problems on the offense that need to be addressed. Julius isn't one of the major problems on the team. He and Barber will provide good threats out of the backfield. I am not saying Dallas should pass on a top notch back if one is readily available, but there are some bigger problems to fix.

Yeah, you're right Silverstar.

JJ sucks. Let's get rid of him. He's a has-been.

Are you watching the same games the rest of us are? How many games did JJ miss this year with injury? Add those lost yards in and see how his numbers add up.

If you're suggesting JJ sucks as a RB then you're barking up the wrong tree.

I wouldnt care if he was 7 yards short of 3000. We aint in playoffs and we aint won anything. That is what I care about. Stats are overrated. Ask Marino, Favre... etc...

Silverstar is about as competent to talk about this subject as NORS is about Dat.
Not that he is all that smart anyway.

Way over reaction there. Did you see the graphic last night during the game? Juliuis has more rushing yards at this point in his career than Tony or Emmitt. Yeah he sucks we should get somebody else. PLEASE!!! Perhaps you should consider the terrible line he ran behind the last 2 years.

If he can't stay healthy then he shouldn't be our featured back, much less our franchise back. All his injuries suggest to me is that he can't take the pounding of a 16+ game schedule.

Are we going to blame the OL for his injuries too?

When will the excuses end for Julius?

Some people need to have reality come up and slap them in the face. Silverstar needs to actually watch a game concentrating on the O line. BUt I doubt he will do that- because then he has to admit he is a fool.
