Just cannot win with this D scheme

I have chuckled for years at those who praise Marinelli. His success in TB was a product of great players (Sapp, Lynch, Rice). His success here in 2016 and 2014 was the result of a dominant running game that kept the D rested and usually allowed it to play with a lead against one dimensional offenses... but his scheme is trash. And we cannot win with it. Bend but do not break makes the players play tentative. And then, on money third downs, they really are not ready to be aggressive. Just take a look at the success of Carr and Claiborne in different systems. It's not the players, it's the coach and the system... We need some aggression. We need to blitz, not just one guy but three. Not the same four man rush and DE-DT stunt. We need to dictate, not be dictated to... Everyone blaming Dak is missing the real problem.

It's actually embarrassing. Our linebackers play 7 yards off the ball. That in itself puts immense pressure on an average DL rhat constantly stunts creating running lanes.

Yep. This defense is going to make it incredibly hard to win any game.

Yeah, but with a worse defense than this all the losses were pinned on Romo

No, we're gonna hold Prescott to the same standard

Same staff went 13-3 last year. Could it be instead the change over in players? Whole new secondary. Jaylon on the field for first time in 2 years. Only D-Law making an impact on the DL and now he is doubled and tripled.

OL has a new guard and tackle. Defenses packing the box and making Dak throw outside, which he hasn't shown he can do.

I'm sure it's a combination of things.

You said it. IF a Club doesn't have the talent...it will not win. { Sapp. Lynch Rice} Talent combined with poor coaching.

LOL.

He's not had one very good defense in his time here.

The best he has done has put an average D on the field coupled with a ball control offense.

Why do people act like 13-3 is somehow that typical season for this staff?

And when Wade was here we couldn't cover the middle of the field. Parcels 34 was too conservative. Zim and The Poodle weren't agressive enough and the corners played 10 yards off the ball. On and on......people are missing the issue. Yes we have drafted defense, but always as an afterthought.

Again for those who do not know or listen: WE ARE the LOWEST PAID defense in all of football folks!! All of football! And that's with a terrible contract to Crawford......
