The reason Jerry isn't worrying is because no one can "steal" Sensabaugh from him.
Even if a team is willing to give up a 2nd rounder, they also have to be willing to give a huge contract that the Cowboys can't or won't match...there's more to it than just the draft pick. The Cowboys know what they're willing to offer in a long term deal to keep Sensabaugh, and it's probably more than most teams would use on a 2nd rounder.
Sensabaugh was a huge upgrade for us last year, and I find it silly that one play against the vikings is what anyone would suddenly dump him over. He shut down TE's all year and was solid. He came rushing over from the middle on that sideline coverage and was on the guy so tight that he probably wasn't about to look back and get beaten on the underthrow or the leap (Sensabaugh holds the all time record for vertical at the Combine).
That pass just slipped in there...Sensabaugh wasn't lost like some of our past CBs who never located the ball. I believe he just hadn't read anything to say the ball was on the way unless it was underthrown.
I certainly don't want a rookie SS instead of Sensabaugh. Like others, I'd much rather replace Hamlin.
