I wanted to see how our draft would look like in a QB trade down scenario. Pro Football simulation was used and Farley was taken ahead of us:

We trade pick 10 (1) and 115 (4) to Indy for 21 (1), 54 (2), 84 (3)

So we move back to 21 and get an extra 2 and a 3, but lose our first 4th rd pick.

21-Ojulari DE/OLB (could play DE or strong-side OLB, best pass rusher in the class in my opinion)
44-McNeil NT (both Moehrig/Grant off the board, filled one of our biggest needs with the best option)
54-Nixon DT (was able to double up at the position with a legit high level 3T)
75-Tufele DT (surprised he lasted here, could play many positions along the DL)
84-Newsome II CB (excellent fit in the Cover 3 as a zone Corner with size/length)
99-Washington FS (excellent get at this spot, top 3 as a single high in this class)
138-Deablo SS/LB (went with the hybrid as the value wasn't great at LB or T)

Who is Washington?

These mocks always depress me. I want these guys in Dallas and they end up in Washington

I think the slotting here is pretty accurate, expect maybe those two third rd selections as both Tuefele and Newsome could very well come off the board in rd 2.

So how would you create 25 spots to get them all on the roster? A few I really like.

Why would you take 3 DTs like that?

Two of them are never going to see the field, and you can't go into a season with your most experienced DT being Trysten Hill...

My type of draft, heavy on the front 7, and the CB is pretty good too. Those DTs could all possibly start with the way Quinn runs his defense, and no DT currently on the roster should stop any pick or signing from happening.

Front 7 would be loaded with talent, especially now at DT.

At least the trade value swap is reasonable.
You get a bonus for that---for being on CowboysZone and unlike so many others, not having Dallas totally fleece all other teams in a trade.
:flagwave:

I love the trade..I don't love the picks..I'd prefer to build the defense from back to front as opposed to front to back..I don't know which players were available but this is just my opinion

Farley was off the board at 10 and Grant was off at 44. Went the best players available.
