Just for fun: If you could pick any player in the NFC East

the guy is the best punter I have ever seen in person, which is a limited list I admit, but He kicks to the corner better than anyone.

Its ridiculous how skilled he is.

theebs...we are not starting on the right foot. Yes he is a great punter, but we do have McBriar who is DAYUM good himself. The whole nfc east and thats what you could come up with, and you had the nerve to knock some of my post. The only thing good I can say about you is that you seem to be a true cowboy fan.

Osi umeniyora

Bryan westbrook

see now you said something with OSI, and Dawkins. As far as westbrook, see my post to Gimmetheball.

what in the world are you talking about.

This thread isnt about finding a player that would fill a weakness, just which player would you like on your team from the other 3 east teams.

I didnt say feagles, but superpunk did. I dont know if he was goofing or not, but Feagles is fantastic.

the guy puts the ball right where he wants it, its like he is throwing it sometimes. He is deadly on the coffin corner punts.

and Gee, I am glad you think I am a true cowboys fan, I was starting to worry.

Jeff Feagles is the ultimate weapon, tbh.

If you get him anywhere near midfield you are going to pin your opponent inside the 10 almost every time. What other player in the NFC East is worth 10+ yards of field position EVERY time he steps on the field, I ask you?

Next year there will be 2 players.

Tim Tebow, tbh.

I don't think "Ultimate Weapon" is a flattering enough title for Tebow.

You know how jazzed I was about Laron Landry. I think he is the best young Safety in the NFL.

The player overall that I would choose though is Patrick Willis, ILB from the 49ers. I have not gotten over that man crush at all.

I think the purpose was to pick a player that would fill a need. That was my perception anyway. Maybe im wrong.

PS..you all are right, feagles is phenominal but he would not be my choice.

I acknowledged that and merely amplified my answer. I can read. You should learn how to.

:laugh2:

1) Laron Landy
2) Brian Dawkins
3) McFlubb
4) Shawn Andrews (recovered)
5) Asante Samuel
6) Justin Tuck
7) Santana Moss (perfect Slot WR)
8) Eli

feagles is better on the corner kick, but if you are pinned on your side of the field give me mcbriars leg (everyday and twice on sunday, and being that mcbriar is not terrible at the corner kick. I think mcbriar is everybit as good as feagles.

Laron Landry - best known for getting Son'd by Brandon Jacobs on national television.

Frankly I just don't see it yet.

I think people way undervalue how much Gurode's retardation is hurting the line

the line can't be in sych when it takes the guy making the line calls, 15 seconds for anything to register in his head

My first post on this board was about how Gurode wasn't smart enough to make the calls. In 2007 he really looked like he'd gotten it. However, he took a real step back last year - folks suggested that Kosier helps him out but I just don't know.

a few notes...

lots of good choices here then there is jeff feagles....

i hope his selection was for comedic effect.

we go from the 3rd best punter in the league to the best???
that's our biggest upgrade?

Why did I go Mikell over Landry??

**Because of their play last year. Commander fans who actually watched the games were surprised by Landry's fall off after losing Taylor. He was juked to the ground by Brandon Jacobs(search youtube) and generally wasn't great. Mikell was much better and made All Pro at safety. He had more picks, more tackles, more everything good.

Why would I go Portis over Westbrook?

Because Portis is more of a running back. Westbrook is a big part of why Philly passes so much. They use Westbrook as a receiver as often as a rusher and he is arguably more effective in that role. If Philly ever added a really good running back and then had Westbrook work out of the slot I think that offense could be the best in football. Portis has even worse offensive talent around him than Westbrook. He keeps that offense afloat with nearly zero help. In short Portis is more Emmitt and Westbrook more Felix Jones. Portis averages about 75 more carries per season with both as starting tailbacks.

he's a scatterbrain, even Parcells admitted as much (how he had to kick Torrin Tucker off the team so that Gurode wouldn't be distracted)

that's a horrible quality for a starting C to have

I appreciate too, you know how much I like hatred.

I guess I'll move onto scare tactics then

Both Gurode and Adams have taken a step backwards and I really feel like it is because of Wade Gump. Both of them are the type of players that need a strong head coach who will ride them, something Gump isnt capable of doing.
