Just for fun, what would you do if you won crazy money in the lottery and you could buy the Dallas Cowboys? What would your opening press conference look like? What actions would you take? To that end, I have always wondered how fun it would be to take over the franchise. Here's what I would do.

My First Conference
"Good afternoon media, fans, family members. The Cowboys have been in Dallas since 1960 and I was born three years later in the Dallas area. My older brother and our dad ensured I was a Cowboys fan since birth and I have enjoyed so many eras of greatness, exciting deep playoff runs, and of course our five championships. In fact, The Dallas Cowboys hold the NFL record for most consecutive winning seasons with 20 from 1966 to 1985. During that time, we reached the playoffs 18 times, won 13 NFC East championships, and reached the Super Bowl five times.

Then the Landry era ended as Jerry Jones bought the team, fired Landry, and hired the great Jimmy Johnson who was the sole architect of a team that won 3 championships in four years.

As a longtime resident of the Dallas area, I am intimately familiar with the hundreds of millions of dollars the local community has invested in the team over the decades as well as our loyal fans worldwide and I want to thank fans everywhere for their support. I do not take this support lightly and as the new owner, I feel a strong obligation to put the best possible team on the field as well as hire the best of the best coaches, scouts, analytics experts, and so on. This franchise has been the benefactor of a tremendously loyal fan base and it is the job of ownership to put winning above all else, no exceptions.

I want to thank Jerry and the Jones family for growing the franchise to the most valuable sports franchise in the world. Jerry's skills as a businessman have created great wealth for the Jones family and his savvy business ideas have greatly enriched the other 31 NFL owners bank accounts with exponential growth.

Taking over as the owner of this great franchise is something I do not take lightly. I remember my pain in watching "The Catch", the losses to Pittsburg in the Super Bowls, the Dez Catch blown call, and many others. Now as the owner, I understand the great challenge that lies ahead in turning around a franchise that has failed to reach the NFC Championship game for almost three decades. But I commit to three pillars of my ownership:

1) Winning will always be my top priority
2) I will hire the best experts in the world and let them do their job without interference
3) We will have accountability from top to bottom which is the foundation of my commitment to winning

It is a privilege to take over as the new owner of the Dallas Cowboys and I look forward to what the future holds for our team. Thank you again to all the fans for your support and let's get to work!"


What about you? What would your press conference look like?

There is no lottery that can afford the cowboys. I mean it would max out at a little over 1B if that, and you still wouldn't be able to afford the team. You could finance a deal with the joneses with 1B, but doing a deal with the devil in that capacity wouldn't be so fun long term!

I wouldn't say lottery. I would say if you came upon an oil find or something related in value that would bring you billions in wealth.

If THAT were the case, I could think of far better assets to purchase than the cowboys.

Easy. Hire proven football experts and let them make 100% of all football decisions. That is the antithesis of Jerry runs the team.

With an almost thirty year gap in playing in the conf championship game, there's almost no one out there who would be worse than Jerry.

I hire a GM I trust and believe in him. Then I focus on the business side of the franchise while the real football people handle the team.

You all would never see or hear a word from me other than maybe seeing me on game day,

First, I make my main sponsor Tesla.
Then I replace all head coaches with the Teslas Optimus robots and have them perform calculations for everything. Choose players based on probability of best rate of return per player. Pay players based on a calculation given by the bots.
And then for gameday, plays are all chosen by probability of success based on all the factors: down, distance, weather, team, location, opponent, score, etc.
and when we're about to win the super bowl, i prohibit players from doing the gatorade bath on the bot due to potential damage.
