Just heard on 105.3 The Fan, Brian Waters is playing Sunday

Fat, out of shape and 36 years old.

Maybe he can go the whole game but I certainly question it.

We don't know what sort of shape he is in. From various reports though he had been working out regularly and did look pretty good when the team worked him out. He's maybe 10-15 pounds over his ideal playing weight. Honestly, for a 300 lb interior that isn't a ton of extra weight.

He is one pound more than is playing weight in NE. What a fat***

I promise you when you see Waters on the field Sunday you will see a fat 300 plus pounder.

I assure you nobody can walk onto an NFL roster in September and be in game shape.

He was born in 1977.

"He's fat, out of shape and 36 years old."

What's the problem here?

I promise if you saw Waters 10 years ago...you'd see a fat 300 plus pounder.

sounds like romo, dunbar, spencer and mcray are all at practice in pads today.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 2m
Romo, Bryant, Claiborne, Spencer practicing. First time for Spencer since July 25 knee surgery

Ok, after checking his height to weight ratio against ideal, I'm willing to concede he may be considered slightly overweight.

I think it was Broaddus that said we actually won't need Waters this game because KC plays a 3-4 so Bernadeau won't be playing one-on-one for the most part.

I hope they put him in though. It'll be good to see if it improves the run game and open up the passing game.

this is kind of depressing but Waters is still 2nd team,i was hoping he will play this week.

Right. You have a guy not in football shape carrying a lot of weight at 36 years old.

If you don't think it's reasonable to question whether he can play the entire game on Sunday, I disagree.

What the heck kind of mentality is that? As if you don't need your best 5 OL on the field against 3-4 defenses.

You play Waters because he's a better player.

omg do you ever stop with this incessant negativity and flat uninformed flow of useless gutter crap?

the dude is 2 pounds above what he played at for the pats 2 years ago, fat is relative for a lineman and in this case, he is not and all accounts say he is in shape and all reports before the signing said he has been staying in shape. Yes he is 36 but that really doesn't mean anything to a lineman if he is healthy, which, with 18 months off he is.
