Getting into football shape in only a week is rough for anyone, let a lone a 320lb 36 year old who took a year off.

I think it would be smart to activate him but start Bernadeau and see how it goes from there.

Read some quotes from Waters today, he sounds like he has a ways to go before he is in top shape. I bet he is limited in snaps and does not start.

Really wish we could have got him 2 weeks earlier. At least this way maybe he will be fresher for the playoffs.

The OL played beyond better than I ever thought was possible. He will only help...

Right. You have a guy not in football shape carrying a lot of weight at 36 years old.

If you don't think it's reasonable to question whether he can play the entire game on Sunday, I disagree.

While what you're saying may be true for now, I have no question a 36 year old can be successful at the right guard position. It's one of the few positions, aside from quarterback, that I think you can play until your late 30s. He may not be ready now, but he's the kind of athlete that will be read soon. We'll likely see him play the whole game by game 3.

Just ask cowboy fans you meet 4 questions:

1. Do you think we need to get rid of Romo?
2. What is a zone blitz?
3. What is the difference between a 34 OLB and a 43 OLB?
4. What is an option route for a WR?

It never fails... the fans who think we need to get rid of Romo never can really answer the other 3 questions. The fans who want to keep Romo actually have an understanding of football.

Yep. It's to the point that when someone spots me wearing Cowboys stuff, the moment they identify themselves as a Cowboys fan, I walk away immediately, often times while they are in mid- sentence.

Waters has sat out camp before and then played great. A year off to fully heal and rest up is not a bad thing for a O lineman. He is probably in the best health of his life since he started football.

And with his experience any rust will quickly be worked off. Endurance might be the one area he is weak in- depends on how much running he has done.

not worried about waters...his veteran knowledge should tell him when it is time to tap his helmet and get Berny in the game for a snap or two....start him

I think it was Broaddus that said we actually won't need Waters this game because KC plays a 3-4 so Bernadeau won't be playing one-on-one for the most part.

I hope they put him in though. It'll be good to see if it improves the run game and open up the passing game.

The same Broaddus who is obsessed with Bernadeau.

We are literally one guard away from having a good offensive line. Waters cannot get in there fast enough, completely ready or not, conditioned or not.

Glad someone else sees it and points it out.

It's undermining his credibility in my view.

yep the way he continually insists Bernadeau, contrary to what everyone saw, is actually not playing bad is pretty funny

So wait.... Because lineman carry some extra pounds due to the beating they take... They are fat slobs?

Do they look like body builders? No.

But when was the last time you saw a guard that did?

Out of shape?

Lineman who often don't mirror what GQ magazine outline as the ideal male Physique qualify as some of the best athletes in the world.

And what does 36 have to do with whether someone can be in shape?

TO is going to look like a Greek God until he's 60.

Risen hasn't just jumped the shark he harpooned the poor basted.
