The skins offered #21 and a conditional pick in 2009... that could be a 3rd rounder, or a 1st IF the skins reach certain team goals and/or Chad Johnson reaches certain performance goals.

Sorry, that aint much for an excellent, gamebreaker at WR. The skins have campbell at QB... they are pretty much offering #21 and a 3rd next year.

I'd give #22 and be more than happy to give our #1 next season... if we win the SB.

Why? It's a huge cap hit for them to trade Johnson right now. Let's say they trade him, they still have to find a receiver to take over his spot. Let's say they draft DeSean Jackson. Now they are essentially paying $9 million this year in cap money for DeSean Jackson.

Rich, I should have probably phrased that a bit differently. It's not the rejection of which I am skeptical. It's the proposal. Even if it is Washington.

I expect Cincy to validate the reports. It makes sense for them whether they are resolute in keeping or trading him.

Let me see. If I worked for a contract and my company made it a nightmare for me, I would do everything possible to get out of it, whether I suceeded or not.

Obviously, something bad's happened in that org, cause he's been there for years and this is the first year he's outright demanded a trade.

All I know is, if someone is stupid enough to offer a couple of firsts, or close to it for a 30 something WR, when I have another pretty good dang receiver over there, then I'd take that deal and run wild with it.
