I do - in fact, if he can live up to the "hype", I see he and Sam Williams as the future @ DE:
RDE - Williams
LDE - Fehoko (sliding down to 3T on passing downs)

On paper, the 'Boys have a LOT of pieces to be a multiple look D (3-4/4-3).
The plan is for him to bulk up and convert to 3T

His ceiling is basically Tyrone Crawford.
I think this is a fair assessment. Ceiling being Crawford. Floor being a guy we cut mid year

NFL boneyard is littered with mid round DL tweeners that didnt amount to anything. I think maybe he can be a 15 snap a game guy late in his rookie contract. With a similar Crawford had his last couple of years here. That might not be exciting to people, but that would be a decent score for a mid round DL.

That'd be sweet. I see the opinions on Fehoko are all over the place. I think some are selling him short. Then again, maybe we're overselling.
He is definitely being oversold. He is a case where fans get too excited over incominh players. He probably wont play over Golston the next two years. He is a raw tweener who played against lesser competition. He may become a contributor in a couple years, but dont expect much if anything for the next two

Exactly. As a 3tech his body type isn’t out of the norm…I don’t get his comment.
I believe some fans make a post realize they're wrong later but don't want to admit it, so they'll do whatever they can to solidify their false narrative and that's OK..

I mean I think the actual thread from the original poster is a little out of line anyway, I mean nobody seen him play a snap, didn't we go through this with that Kamara kid?? I mean he looked like the Hard Knocks winner of training camp for a while then doesn't even make the team. You kind of need to start seeing guys play before you start making posts about how they might turn out and then using body types , raw talent, and whatnot, it's a lost debate there's there's no nothing but projections and we haven't even seen, I don't even know who the guy is except for what they talked about on draft day.

Yeah it’s premature and I’ve seen this story before. I think we should wait and see what he does in preseason before we start talking about how good he can be for all we know they might try to slide him on PS because guys might be better then him.

Fehoko checks the box in 3 measurable metrics...
40 time - 4.77
Three cone - 7.32
Height - 6"4"
Translation - Can have a nice ceiling, but extremely green at this point.

LMAO I got my Fehokos mixed up.

Forgive me.

DL Fehoko looks like a worker that plays like his hair is on fire. I think the guy has dawg in him. We need that.
I gave it a Like because I thought you were making a joke.

He's either an undersized DT or a heavy DE. There are 0 impact players with this body type. 33" arms isn't significant, 4.7 is irrelevant (especially from a pro day) and every DL who makes an NFL roster has a motor, it's irrelevant. His ceiling is basically Tyrone Crawford.
Cam Jordan, Dremone Jones, Zach Allen, Denico Autry

There's a few. I'm worried about his skillset. May not have the agility to play much.

I guess I'm the only one thinking he plays as a strong side DE on run downs and moves inside on passing downs (if he is good enough to even play of course) which is why I don't even understand all the talk about his weight. He is my pick to be better than expected out of this draft.

I would be ecstatic if he is Tyrone Crawford. Craws was a very good player who was overpaid and then forced to play out of position at DE. We screwed him as we screwed Rats.

  • Fehoko was a 4th round pick.
    • If a 4th round DL becomes a solid rotational player, he has exceeded the average results for 4th rounders.
    • If a 4th round DL has a Crawford type career then he has far exceeded the average results for 4th rounders.
    • In his best years, Crawford would have been a terrific 7th DL that plays DE vs run and DT vs pass.
      • The fact that he was limited as a full time starter does not change that fact.

A couple of players with similar height/weight/arm-length from recent drafts:

  • Justin Madubuike (3rd round 2020 draft)
    • Height: 6-3
    • Weight: 293
    • Arm: 33 1/2
    • 40 Yard Dash: 4.83
    • 10 Yard: 1.73
  • NFL Results:
    • Started some games as a rookie.
    • Became a full time starter in his 2nd season.
    • Full time starter in 2022 including the playoffs.
    • Baltimore media says the Ravens want to sign him to a new contract this year before his contract demands become to big when he hits unrestricted free agency after the season.

  • Zachary Carter (3rd round 2022 draft)
    • Height: 6042
    • Weight: 282
    • Arm: 33 1/2
    • 40 Yard Dash: 4.99
    • 10 Yard: 1.68
  • NFL Results:
    • Started 9 regular season games as a rookie.
    • Started 2 post season games as a rookie.

  • Name: Viliami Fehoko (4th round 2023 draft)
    • Height: 6036
    • Weight: 282
    • Arm: 33
    • 40 Yrd: 4.77
    • 10 Yrd: 1.68

I see the same thing the Cowboys see with him. He has enough quickness and bend to get around the edge, and he's also stout enough to play in the middle at times. During the draft, he was actually my favorite pick. I also like Schoonmaker and Vaughn. I don't think Vaughn will have much trouble making the team due to his receiving abilities.

I believe Fehoko can make an impact this year. He's got the heart and desire, apparently, too.

That's his opinion. Nothing wrong with seeing things differently.
His athleticism is well within range for 3tech DTs and there are many 3tech DTs in the 290 weight range.
- He was 282 pre-draft...

Having 2 true "Bigs" available at 1tech will help the 3tech DTs.
- Last season Odighi often saw double-teams when he played with Gallimore as the other DT.
- When he played with Hankins as the other DT, he didn't see double-teams...

Fiiiiiinally, Jerry listened to us about the NT position and how it affects every other position on D.

I don't think it was as much Jerry as Marinelli and his stubborn idea of the traits a DT must have. Also the last few years we have at least attempted to fill the position even though the level of success has been much less than desirable:

2020 FA D'Ontari Poe
2021 drafted Bohanna
2022 Traded for Hankins
2023 drafted Mazi

Oh, it was Jerry also. He has refused to address the position since Tuna left.

Jerry is contrary. To the nth. Sooooooooooooooooo, since Tuna wanted a big NT, Jerry went in the opposite direction. And it has cost us dearly. Maybe Jerry hired Marinate in the first place because Marinate agreed to go w/ small NT and use scraps at DT.
