Just move Beebe to guard??

Regardless of who plays center or g between Hoff and Beebe, the Cowboys should still plan to sign or draft a quality C/G to compete. Not a huge investment, but get an Edoga type player

I hope Schottemheimer and the new OL coach have the handcuffs taken off with a mandate to field the best team .
Then Steele would be very secure. I completely get the issues he had in pass protection, but If they really want to move to a run first offense it would be crazy to think they are going to move one of the better run blocking Tackles in the league. I really think the talk of moving Guyton to RT or cutting Steele for cap savings is a waste of breath for that reason. Steele's biggest strength aligns exactly with what Schotty says he wants to do with this offense.

You have to be able to pass block to be a viable starting NFL Tackle . Especially with Dak being stationary .

Hoffman is too small. Put him at C and people are going to complain about him like they did Biadasz -- he's going to get overpowered by the bigger NTs. All the s-talking and all that won't help him there.

Just leave Beebe where he is. He's going to be really good there for a long time.
Stepnoski was small for a C. He did alright. But I wouldn't be shocked if the Cowbooys draft a C later in the draft.

Beebe should remain at C with Smith & Hoffman at G and Bass depth . Draft another G with one of those comp picks.

Klayton Adams had C/OG Evan Brown (6'3 320) SMU, DFW native. Brown played LG exclusively last season accumulating over 1,000 snaps, so he's played a lot of football for Coach Adams. EB shouldn't cost too much.

I don't think UFA veteran iOL competition will happen at OG with Smith n Beebe as starters, so maybe competition for Hoffman at Center.

LG - Tyler Smith, Nathan Thomas
C - Brock Hoffman, ???
RG - Cooper Beebe, TJ Bass

Looking at this group, I can see wanting to add a OG in case Thomas flops, so add a C/OG to backup Hoffman and can play OG if needed seems ideal.

I would definitely have moving Beebe back to guard as a priority asap.
For a guy who hadn't played there, he was okay, but only okay...certainly not really good.
Beebe was at best the 3rd best rookie center behind Barton and Frazier.

Sadly, there are no centers in the draft this year worth picking, but getting Beebe back to guard should be a priority. I know they don't want to move Smith, but Tyler at LT, Beebe at LG, a new center, Guyton at RG, and Steele at RT might be a great way forward with eyes on eventually having Guyton at RT.

My guess is that we may be able to bring Hernandez over from Arizona to play RG.

Barton & Frazier drafted before Beebe. For a 3rd rounder I am thrilled with his future and would leave him at C

He was a little better than ok. Considering his lack of experience, he did fantastic. Remember, he was a rookie and a 3rd round pick not a 1st rounder. With a full off season, he will be much better. And moving him back to guard isn't a priority asap at all. Let's wait and see what happens between now and OTA's. Let's wait and see what the new coaches plans are. In the meantime he will work on his body and be more of a NFL OL.

sometimes you have to have patience.

Both Guyton and Beebe need to be given another year under what we HOPE is better coaching to improve. Frankly I thought Beebe did better than Biadasz did his first year. And so since no one here seemed to want to move him, then they should shut up.
Guyton is more problematic but once again coaching should be better and more time allowed

Well said.

Guyton was also more raw.

Moving either at this point would be foolish, unless you're just moving Guyton to get him up to speed.

Beebe's incredibly short arms would be problematic at OG.

Are you aware of what effect short arms has on an OL? How about quick feet?

Tyler would be a holding machine at OLT.
