I doubt anyone will admit it (or even see it) but I believe BP was so conservative here is he wanted to TEACH them how to win a game like today.

The fans hated it, but I think it would have paid off eventually if the team had only one voice. I'll give you 1 guess who the "other" voice is.

Good coaches will push different players in the draft to facilitate discussion - the last thing you want is a coach who doesn't even float ideas that differ from the GM. That talk is the same as the 'Parcells wanted Spears over Ware' crap -- not a want so much as a discussion of different options.

Just remove Jerry from the equation. If Jerry was intelligent at all he would step back and choose a committee to decide. Let Stephen represent Jerry.
Have some guys like Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodson, Ron Wolf, and maybe Holmgren if he is serious about sitting out a year and doesn't want to be considered. Have guys tied to championships and history with the Cowboys and guys that have ties to the league make some decisions. Too much to ask of Jerry I know.
