Just say no if he's there at 26

I have no idea why anyone would want to draft a running back in the first round? In today's NFL you want longevity with your first pick and drafting a running back isn't it. It's very rare that an NFL running back is going to have the same impact and effectiveness during his second contract (if he even gets one) like he did in his first. There are so many better options there so if the Cowboys were smart in the first round (they've done very well here btw) they will pass on Bijan Robinson, who is a very good running back but the Cowboys will do so much better in the long run with an offensive lineman. Connor McGovern's spot hasn't been filled so an O-line at 26 would make a lot of sense, especially with all the good O-lineman that they've drafted in the past in the first round then maybe take a running back on day two or three.

If he's there at 26, I wouldn't have an aneurism if we took him. He's a top player who will give us some great play for a bunch of years. I do like building the trenches however, so either way I am happy. There is never a guarantee that who you would pick instead of him would be a lock for 10 years of good to great play.

Dallas has also had a lot of success drafting offensive linemen after the first round. Its been a while but Flozell Adams, Larry Allen, Erik Williams, Stepnoski, etc. were all 2nd and 3rd rounders.

Regardless, I think that how the draft pans out will dictate who they draft. I expect this to be a CeeDee Lamb type pick where they simply take whomever drops and presents good value. Supposedly they have 1st round grades on roughly 16 players. I bet one of them is still there at 26 and they take him almost regardless of position.

would depend on who else was there but if Bijan was available id absolutely consider it. We need trenches bad but Bijan is going to be a stud. What i dont want to do is trade up for him but if he fell into our laps it would be hard not to grab him. Id rather have him than a TE.

I would be ok with Torrence the florida guard and a few space eaters such as Mazi Smith. I think the Eagles will grab Bijan just to keep us from getting him. so he may not slip past 10 even though Ive seen several mocks with him going to us.

Yea sure.....so we can pass over him and the eagles get him late in the first.....so then he turns out to be a great runningback as advertised and this board will light up!!!!!!....and blame front office again for being A-holes for passing up a talent like Bijan.....we could of....should of....had him when we fell that far down.....imagine that.

Word is the Cowboys have 16-18 players rated with 1st round grades. If he is there at 26, take him.

No idea? He is a top 10 talent. He has outstanding value at 26.

How about this century as regards really top OL after the first rd. WE have gotten a couple of good ones but nothing special AFTER the first rd

49ers traded this years 2nd,3rd,and 4th round draft picks and next years 5th to get McCaffrey in the middle of his sixth season in which he put up over 1800 yards from scrimmage. And they're paying him $12M/yr. A lot of people think Bijan could be that type of player as well as Gibbs.

IF Bijan is there at 26 you better believe he will be a Cowboy. Too bad he won't make it past 15. Like it was said before, there are no guarantees that anyone else you pick in the first will be here for 10 years. I prefer quality over quantity. 5 great years from a player rather than 10 average years. The Cowboys will be regretting it if an NFCE rival selects Bijan and you have to deal with him.

I don't think the Eagles go RB with that pick unless they think an absolute stud on the line will be there at 30. The Eagles were visiting with 6 OL, 6 CB, 9 Dline (interior and edge), one RB (Bijan), and one QB.

Bijan is a top 3 talent in this draft. He is an absolute difference maker.

Bijan is insurance this year if Pollard is not 100% at the beginning of the season and protects you next year when Pollard hits free agency.

Bijan can play slot WR.

Bijan is a marketing home run (more of a thing for Jerry than us).

Also, Bijan will be gone before 26.

I really want the O-line fixed. We do that we don't need a superman. Then D run stopper. Then a TE *if* a stud...NOT a project! Blocking, can get up the field and YAC.

If there is some RB who "fell"...let's check the reasons for that. If he still passes muster...fine. And when he wants to hold out let him sit. Like we should have done the last time.
