It would be monumentally stupid to pass on him at #26 but he won’t make it that far.
This pisses me off.From NJ.com
During his interview with the Eagles, this question was part of Bijan's interview:
Roseman asked: Why do I need to take you at No. 10?
Robinson’s reply: “You’re not going to get a running back. You’re going to get a difference-maker.”
Because he’s the best player available, and life changes drastically in the NFL in 5 seasons. Worrying about the 2028 season in this draft is just dumb.I have no idea why anyone would want to draft a running back in the first round? In today's NFL you want longevity with your first pick and drafting a running back isn't it. It's very rare that an NFL running back is going to have the same impact and effectiveness during his second contract (if he even gets one) like he did in his first. There are so many better options there so if the Cowboys were smart in the first round (they've done very well here btw) they will pass on Bijan Robinson, who is a very good running back but the Cowboys will do so much better in the long run with an offensive lineman. Connor McGovern's spot hasn't been filled so an O-line at 26 would make a lot of sense, especially with all the good O-lineman that they've drafted in the past in the first round then maybe take a running back on day two or three.
It makes even less sense in a draft like this where there good backs into the 5th round. Unless you have a good line, the back is an afterthought.I have no idea why anyone would want to draft a running back in the first round? there is the jerry factorI do not think he will be there at 26 because Booger will move up to get the Texas Plum of the draft.
For the main reasons he wanted Manziel, Robinson fits that. Jersey sales soar and Horns fans begin to grab tickets by the handful.
How many UT alums do you think there are in the Metroplex? How many of the Austin alums would plan trips to Arlington on the weekends?
RB's might not be what they once were in the NFL but they are in Texas.
I have seen that exact scenario play out in mocks. I dont recommend a trade up unless its limited spaces and even then I wouldnt endorse it. The draft is deep. Bijans the best but the RB class should have enough real good talent through round 3Chargers will take him before Dallas if they got the opportunity at 21. They don’t have a staring RB after Ekeler requested a trade as well. Eagles have he spot at 10 and Mikes Davis left via free agency.
Dallas needs to trade up to get him
I don’t want college, but I took a look at some of the film. This guy runs beautifully and so fluidly, especially in-between the tackles, plus he can catch. If i know im a hot target and probably the only 1st round RB taken in the first i answer that question with you either take me or you don't...wherever i go imma be that guyFrom NJ.com

Bijan is a top 3 talent in this draft. He is an absolute difference maker.
Bijan is insurance this year if Pollard is not 100% at the beginning of the season and protects you next year when Pollard hits free agency.
Bijan can play slot WR.
Bijan is a marketing home run (more of a thing for Jerry than us).
Also, Bijan will be gone before 26.
Yep. We’re picking 26th.. Not 5th overall.This isn't complicated. He's a difference maker? Take him.
It could give them a championship. Some say he is perhaps the best player or top 3 players in the draft. Aided by the fact that his position is widely regarded as the position that most quickly adapts to the NFL. If you are getting that level of talent at 26, you are blessed indeed.
Just like Lamb wouldn't make it. Then the Raiders took Rugs and the Broncos took Jeudy and the Eagles did something stupid. It happens.he isnt making it to 26
His jump and cut back and just lateral cutting ability in general is off the chains. I read some comments from Longhorn fans and they were basically saying his was their whole offense, as they didn’t really have any support. Led the league in yards after contact. Everything looks so natural with him, which is rare.hell be a beast
Would you give 500 to 1 odds?Absolutely no chance he makes it to 26
He's not going to be there so get used to it....
Would you call Jason Witten "athletic"?Michael Mayer is my do not take in the first round player.
All the best TEs are great athletes.
Mayer is not an impressive athlete.
If you want a solid TE then by all means waste your first rounder on him but we can do better with our pick.
