Honestly, Pizza Hut is okay, but, especially living in Cleveland, I prefer the local shops. When I'm in Chicago (technically, Rosemont), I like to go to a place called Giordano's for their deep dish (yum!!!). When I go to NJ, I know two places I love going to and have done for years. I got a place right around the corner from me called Gerogios that's pretty good, and I got a place down the street called Pizza Roma. Small business pizza places are the way to go imo.
Pizza Hut is not pizza imo,the other places u mentioned are pizza.

I know lol. But yeah, I would say my favourite pizzas would be the two places I go to in NJ on the Shore, Giordano's, Roma here in Cleveland, and Giordano's.

Same in Germany. Noone but people on business meetings goes to Pizza Hut or whatever. The small shops around the corner run by Italians are the best. Turkish and Arabs make good (Italian) Pizza here too for some reason. :)

The worst are from the big chains and Indian / Chinese owners.

I honestly don't know how chain pizza places survive in north Jersey. North Jersey has some of the best pizza imaginable. It's like comparing a juicy steak to a pile of horse dung. Unfortunately, I now live in south Jersey. People would call it central Jersey, but I don't believe in a central. It's either north or south, and it's because of pizza. I'll explain. No matter how close to the middle of the state you are, you can always tell when you cross the line into south Jersey because the pizza sucks. However, there are a few gems sprinkled around.

North Jersey Pizza is the best, no doubt!..along with NY pizza, of course. Your mouth starts watering from a block away, because of the amazing aroma.

Same, especially on the Shore. Sawmill (Seaside Park), Sal's (Tom's River), and Naples (Tom's River) are amazing pizzas.

Yes, some shore pizza is very good. Manasquan alone has 3 very good pizzerias. Runwildboys mentioned something a few posts up that brings back memories. The aroma drifted, and you could smell it from a distance. You're not smelling Pizza Hut. At least I hope not.

Exactly, I prefer the smaller family pizza places anyway.

Kinda like how does Taco Bell survive in Texas with great taco places and taco trucks on almost every corner.

Excellent question. My guess is tourists that don't know any better. I love tacos, but I don't go to Taco Bell, and we don't have any taco trucks around me. I have to make them. Taco Bell is not an option.

I miss Joan Rivers. I remember if I had had a rotten day, but Joan Rivers was on TV, I would bust up laughing and forget all the BS.

If you are talking about NY having great pizza too, I agree. I was just strictly talking about north Jersey. Especially NTC, they have fantastic pizza. If you go into the city and eat at Dominos, then you're probably from London. Makes no sense what so ever.
