Just want to throw this stat out about Dak

Pre-June 1st 2024 saves us 34 million in cap dollars and the 59 million gets paid and divided in 2 years.

You mean post June 1 I assume, and yes, it would save us $34 million but we'd still have $34 million to eat in 2025. I am not saying they can't do it, or shouldn't do it. In fact, that is the only leverage Jerry has as long as he is willing to go in another direction with another QB, one which he has not idea about right now. Eating that much dead money in 2024 and 2025 will preclude the team from signing some players, including a top QB replacement for Dak. And the Cowboys would have to get pretty lucky to find one in the draft.

Jerry is going to extend Dak. We all know it. I understand why people suggest cutting Dak and want to talk about it, but I'd rather focus on what is possible. The question is, how do we win with Dak at QB? The answer is make him less a part of the offense. But just imagine for a minute a team without Dak at QB. Who do you replace him with? Trey Lance? I can see that but we haven't seen Trey Lance all year and to assume he would win more than Dak or win in the playoffs if just wishful thinking.

Neither of us can TOTALLY disagree. The one thing I will say is that I checked out man. In the second half I knew we would either have the come back of the century or the route would continue. And no spark on either side. You know that same feeling because if you’re an actual Cowboys fan and not just a troll then you know. And I am not calling you a troll. I have seen some argue that he led us to a divisional title.

But honestly, we won the division due to an epic Eagles collapse, moreso than Dak leading us to the title.

Aikman had a historic team around him. But Dak choked and tries to do to much in big games. Take what the defense gives you… He was forcing to many tight window passes. The staff didn’t help. Quinn continued to run a zone Defense and love had someone open everytime he dropped back. With 0 pressure.

Yes they did fail! The defense was horrible but did you see how that awful GB defense played inspired football because their QB inspired them with his play. That's called elevating players around you. When you have a QB that is the face of the franchise and getting paid like the best QBs in the league he needs to be part of the solution not part of the problem.

I wasn’t expecting more. I was hoping for more. But I knew if we did not stop the run we would get blown out. They simply as an organization ignored and looked past this team. Didn’t run the ball or stop it. I think they expected Dak to throw the ball 40 times with no picks and win. Even if he did it would have taken a few breaks going our way or we could not have kept pace. Stupid zone Defense and sending no pressure on passing downs. Middle of the field wide open. Honestly they could have just ran the ball every time and won. Like I said earlier. I mentally checked out of the game by halftime. I think the team never checked in at all…
