Justin Herbert

Having a guy like Herbert would definitely get me excited about cowboys football again.

I get the same feeling about him like I had when I saw Wentz

So far he is 14-20 for 215 yards, 2tds against Cal in the 4th. He was is accurate and very poised in the pocket. Ran for 23 yards also. The only thing is he takes a lot of snaps from the shotgun. I don't think he has taken a snap from under center. At least in the two games that have seen him play. He has been impressive in those game since though. They ( announcers) are talking about him being the number 1 pick and heisman candidate.

Justin Herbert: QB Oregon. 6'6" 234 lbs. Projected 40: 4.70

Justin is an athletic man with a big arm. Dual threat QB who is comfortable in the pocket, has shown the ability to throw the accurate ball while under pressure. He is one of the most accurate QBs on the run I have ever seen, he has demonstrated a unique ability to pass while on the run to the left or right, across his body, and know when to pull the ball down and take it himself.

If you watch his tape you might find yourself thinking of Aaron Rodgers the way he can sling the ball to any point on the field. He has one of the most accurate long balls in the NCAA and better yet there isn't a window he cant squeeze a ball into. His anticipation on first and second reads, as well as sheer ball velocity combine for an amazing range. He has shown everything needed at the next level. Timing, touch, anticipation, and accuracy. Mix that with his size and athleticism and you have a QB made in a lab for today's NFL. He does need a bit of polish on finishing out his reads, and reading defenses before the snap, but he has shown glimpses of both through the still young 2018 season. Both of these problems are common among NCAA QBs anyways and are easy to correct at the next level.

Mechanically he is sound, he has a great release point, solid footwork, and gets the ball out fast. His stance can get a bit wide on some throws, but its a rare occurrence. He is my #1 QB in this draft, and would be my #1 QB in the past 3 draft classes. And I would have a hard time not ranking him higher than Goff and Wentz out of college due to his sheer natural ability. He is bigger than Wentz, has a better deep ball than Wentz, and is a far better athlete.
His tape speaks for itself. There is nothing this man cant do at the QB position, and if I were the GM, I would be looking hard at Herbert to be our future at the position.

honestly, I don't care what Dallas has to do to make move on getting Hubert. If you told me price tag is two #1s and two #2s, I would still make the trade.

He was pretty impressive vs Cal last night. The can definitely make every throw.

Was it BP who said he wouldn't draft a QB over 6' 5"? That always sticks with me for some reason.

I’m holding myself back because I’m fighting between wanting to win (for the sake of loyalty to the players minus dak) and potentially getting the 1st pick to draft Herbert. 3 more games and I’m officially on the bandwagon #suckforherbert
