Justin Herbert

We may. But we have other needs. Dak is going to be the future in Dallas. But I am sure they have a list of players that if they slide.

If Dak is franchised (one-year deal), & Herbert is available at 17, select Herbert.
Given the value of his position, his high ceiling as a player, & the value of a rookie contract for a QB, the selection of Herbert at 17 would be crafty and smart team decision.

Unless he sucks.

LOL yes you freakin' take him. The hell is up with these responses?
Yup. And Herbert is not lasting until our pick. There's quite a few out there who believe he's the best QB in this draft. The only real questions are whether his sloppy footwork and possible pressure issues can be solved by a coaching staff.

You take him and get cheap QB play with high upside for the next 5 years.

Depends on if Dak balks at signing the franchise tag.
If he does, and does not show up for any voluntary workouts, then why not. Draft Hebert, try to trade Dak, heck even for a 2nd and a 3rd round pick and a 2nd in 2021.
Not sure what his trade value actually is, I just threw that out three, as does anyone really think we can get a 1st round?

We get a future QB as well as a few picks for the defense, even if 2021 picks are involved.

If Dak is signed long term, you don't take him. Try to get stronger at another position.

If Dak is franchised, you take Herbert, especially if Dak is holding out. Then trade Dak.

But Herbert will not be there at #17.

No he is Matt Schaub at best....I'd listen to offers & trade back

Too athletic..

At worst he is Josh Allen.. At best.. Sky is the limit. He’s a high level athlete.

I’m not sold on him as being great but I’m 100% sold on his talent and upside.

Could be a good trade back opportunity if Miami doesn't go QB at 5. A slew of teams could be trying to move up. Raiders, Jaguars, Patriots, Saints, Vikings.

Plus I do think Tua will go before 5. Skins, Lions, or a trade up.

If he is there and BPA and you can't trade out to get a haul........then you take him regardless if you have signed Dak or not.
What a problem to have.........a quality QB fall in your lap with a QB coach as your head coach. Without a question you take him or make a trade that improves the quality of your team in other areas.
