I think Gurode will beat out Johnson unless he blows the line calls.

Gurode is alot bigger than Al. Johnson is about 295-300 Andre around 330, regardless may the best man win.

They have been rotating all camp.

hows it bogus if thats what they actually said?

seems one of us is confused about what bogus really means (Ty Law, Greg Ellis, trades etc etc)

Adam and I blew up the size myth

An Gurode 6-4 314
Al Johnson 6-5 296

Kruetz and Mawaee the 2 best centers in the game are 289 and 292.

I see a lot of guys saying Gurode is the fav b/c he is bigger. He really isn't that much bigger than Al. He's a mental midget too despite his toughness.

Al wins the job IMO.

I think Al may be something special and is potentially an all-pro who is kinda flying under the radar right now.

We'll see.

I think al is the man,Bill is thinking two position depth here. And he's keeping gurode fired up,can make for some o-line rotation, wear the D down

I think Al will win the job. I just think Bill wants Al to work for it. From what I can gather, Bill really likes Al. I'm not so sure he feels the same for Gurode (underachiever) who IMO is a huge disappointment thus far.

I really thought Gurode was the real deal coming out of the draft, not so sure why he hasn't worked out. Either way, let the best man win.

Nice to 'see' ya Smitty.

Ditto. Been out of town for 3 weeks due to work. Feels good to be back home and football is right around the corner!!!

Its not always about size; quickness and strength are a big part of it. Apparently Gurode is stronger, Johnson is quicker. Against a 4-3 D, Johnson has the edge; against a 3-4, especially one with a really good NT, Gurode has the edge.

Flozell Adams
Larry Allen
Marco Rivera
Johnson/Gurode
Jacob Rogers
Johnson/Gurode
Stephen Peterman
Kurt Vollers
Ben Noll

Not only do I love our starting line, but our backs up aren't bad. All of them have started except for 3rd round draft pick Stephen Peterman, who I have high hopes for.
