Think the Jerry and the Cowboys Window is closing. There is nothing on the defense to build around,

Disagree, DLaw and Sean Lee are excellent players but the issue is health obviously. Irving, Collins, Hitchens and Byron Jones are all guys who can be above average going forward. Taco, Awuzie, Lewis and Woods all have a lot of talent and should make a big jump in performance in their second year because most players do. Jaylon Smith looked significantly better in this game and has the physical talent to be an elite player in time.

Most of the pieces of a good defense are in place, they just need development and health. Add in another good draft and the defense will be fine.

Not really. I don't buy the excuse that we can't have an effective passing game without Elliott. Not with everything we've invested on offense. We neglect the defense and spend two dollars for every one on offense. With players like Dak and Dez and Beasley, a lack of effective play action is not an excuse.

@Kaiser ... how are your fellow Cowboys fans supposed to whine and belly ache about the team for the rest of this miserable season with you telling them the reality of their situation with your level headed astute analysis? That's not what they want to hear. They want to moan and overreact and behave as if the sky is falling. I appreciate your post but I suspect most will not welcome your viewpoint with such open mindedness. Thank you.

You have a sever case of opinionus dysmorphia. It causes people to think their asinine idea's are good and good idea's are asinine. You ought to get that checked out before posting anymore.
