Karen Carpenter: Greatest Vocalist Ever

I'll probably get flamed for this, but I don't see how you can possibly talk about great female vocalists and not mention Anne Murray. And BTW, you're not going to sway my opinion, so save your breath.

love Anne Murray. My step daughter makes fun of me because of all the recordings I have of her. Of coure I got her back when the Mili Vanilli scandal hit in the early 90s..

I guess I am showing my age but my favorites are Karen Carpenter, Olivia Newton-John, Anne Murray and a gospel singer named Sandi Patti. If Heaven was anything but what it is, I could sit in a rocking chair with head phones on and listen to those four gals for the rest of eternity.

Hell would be listening to Celine Dione. I know people think she is wonderful but her voice is like nails on a blackboard to me.....

I know who Sandi Patti is. "In The Name of The Lord" and "In Heaven's Eyes" are two of my favorites.
