i just saw that harris was released by the dolphins , i remember this guys was a beast in college and was projected as one of the top running backs coming out at some poing , is he worth a look as a power/goal line back? just wondering what you guys think abou it.

26 year old former baseball player that is said to have a "JUCO" mentality and work ethic. Not anything close to being a self-starter and will blow-up in the offseason.

2 options:

Jerry moves him to QB ala QC, Hutch, Henson.

or maybe RT would be a good fit when Tucker gets cut eventually.

We already have somebody that's KJ's size and has proven himself in Anthony Thomas.

the fact that he is a former baseball player does mean he will get a look
you never know when a bench clearing brawl might ensue and we have
all seen how down and dirty those baseball fights are. (remove tongue from cheek now)

we add yet another running back and Parcells will have to bring Switzer back to help him run the wishbone offense.

Haha..my sentiments exactly! :lmao2:

How mnay RB's does one team need? We can certainly spend $ more wisely elsewhere.

We have enough RBs right now and have to worry about which ones to keep, stash or just get rid of.

Also Harris was a beast at times and normally stepped up the bigger the game (That one TD run vs Miami still brings a smile to my face).

However it was rumored that the coaching staff thought Harris was soft in the idea that he would get a minor injury and would milk the injury longer then they thought in order to stay out of working....do not know if it is true but that was what I heard.

So...this is not someone we should look at IMO...now the Eagles maybe as they may need someone to fill a bigger back area.

No more baseball players period for me thanks. I like Barber or Thomas or even Campbell as our goal line back. If they fail, I like JONES as our goal line back.
