KC Front 7 is scary good

lol the Pro Bowl. If they had so many great players why did they go 2-14?

No QB play and poor coaching.

I'd get over that 2-14 stuff. Anyone who follows the league knows that team was far better than that talent-wise.
New coaching staff and a new QB that fits the Andy Reid system helps dramatically.
Don't be surprised if the line is even or if KC is favored in this game.

KC was already an incredibly talented team. They just had no QB, head coach, or direction of any sort. It's gonna be a good game, this is the 2nd best team in the West.

Tried to tell everybody that KC was a much better team then everybody thought. With Pork Chop coaching them, they are going to be much better offensively. Might be the best thing that every happened to Smith to tell the truth.

The Chiefs did what you have to do to inferior teams...blow them out...which is impressive based on the Chiefs season last year. It is going to be a battle but I expect the Cowboys to make adjustments from last night and improve. It should be a close one.

We need to get out to an early lead. This team is almost the opposite of the Giants. Alex Smith isn't capable of slicing and dicing our defense like Eli is, but he also doesn't make careless mistakes. If we don't take an early lead, the Chiefs can play to their tempo. Their tempo is to rely on their strong offensive line and running game. If we jump to a quick lead, they'll be forced to abandon the run game and put the ball in Alex Smith's hands. Alex Smith can't find receivers deep down field like Eli can. He's bound to make mistakes. But he'll only make mistakes when he's put in that situation. If the Chiefs have the lead, there aren't many QBs in the league better than Alex Smith when it comes to playing the "bus driver" role. That's what he did in San Fran his final year. They were so good that he was able to play to his strengths. We need to get off to a hot start so that we can force Alex Smith out of his comfort zone. Otherwise, don't be surprised if we're 1-1 after next week.

Andy Reid also knows our weaknesses because of familiarity from his Iggles days. Special teams and defense might have to win this one for us again.

I agree but we haven't got off to a fast start on Offense in a while, including last night. It would be nice to take the first possession and get some points. Maybe the defense can continue creating turnovers but that can't be relied on every week. I believe if we get points on our first posession that will give us confidence and keep the crowd out of the game. Reid's teams are tough with a lead especially at home, I can recall several Eagles games that got out of hand rather quickly in the Eagles favor.

KC has quite a bit of talent on D.

Against the Jags, Justin Houston had 3 sacks. Dontari Poe had 1.5 sacks. Berry had 7 tackles & half a sack. Tamba Hali had an Int he returned for a TD. Tyson Jackson added a sack.

Definitely not going to be easy. Add in their home crowd, Charles at RB, Reid being a familiar foe, a pretty solid OL & an upgrade at QB.

I'm watching the game now and some interesting tidbits I found was their d-coordinator came from the jets and runs a system similar to a Rex Ryan defense. They will blitz a lot and tend show their hand. Our o-line will have to mind are p's and q's to battle the blitz. The d-line will shift according to the play call, ie if the spot the run and the side it's going to the will move towards said side. This will be an pretty aggressive 3-4 we be going up against. I expect us to use some draws and some screens to combat the aggressiveness. They are definitely talented but from what I'm seeing right know it hard to say in they are dominate or the Jags were just pitiful on O (and they were).

Jax has Gabbert Starting, KC could played 9 men on def and still beat them.

Aren't we overhyping them a little? They did go 2-14 and yes I know they didn't have Alex Smith or Eric Fisher

Way overhyping. They beat the worst team IMO in the NFL yesterday. Can we slow on KC. People on here are acting like we are playing the next Super Bowl champions. They have improved but they aren't invincible.

Don't disagree about Jax...but that doesn't change the fact that KC has quite a bit of talent on D with guys like Hali, Houston, Poe, Johnson, Berry, Flowers, Sean Smith, etc. It'll be a tough game.

The Pro Bowl is a complete joke.

They were 2-14 last year.

Lets tap the breaks. How some of you guys are talking, this is the best team in the league.

Brand new coaching staff. People here are ready to "crown" our D after one game because of the new defensive coordinator in Monte Kiffin. Well, sometimes that's all it takes. KC has a brand new coaching staff and after one game, they look to be getting good results.

They can get beat easily, and exposed for who they are.

Somebody like Brady, or Manning would come in and eat them alive

They added Andy Reid and Alex Smith to an already talented defense. Reid knows Dallas but that also works both ways, Dallas knows Reid. Jacksonville is that bad of a team, so it is hard to gauge exactly how much KC has improved.

If the game was in Dallas, I think it would be a win. In KC, will be a tough one but winnable. It will not be a cakewalk though.

Good preview.

It's nice to open up against Jacksonville.

This might be another Week 2 against a potentially really good team, probably will be a close games, we HAVE to win this one.

2011 - 49ers
2012 - Seahawks
2013 - Chiefs?

We know his too and he has plenty of them.

This week our LBers will be challenged in coverage. Vertical for smith is anytting over 15 yards.
