KC Joyner: Jacques Reeves underrated free agent signing

I Dont like reeves he gave up too many plays we need another CB to work beside newman and henrey.

Draft a CB Jerry Jones we need one to help.Henrey and newman need back-ups!!

Everson Walls wasn't fast but he was a thief.

I never thought he would do well in the NFL. He had superior instincts and seemed to have a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Wasn't really as physically gifted as others but Hostile is right he was a thief and if I remember correctly he had 12 ints in one year.

He had 11 his rookie year. That was the most he had in a single year. He had 57 on his career, 44 of them were in Dallas.

btw....we shouldnt look at carreer ints...

Should we apply that same logic to Newman..?

Is Henry a better CB ....because he has more carreer ints?

We will miss Reeves....more because we have no one as good right now as our 3rd CB.......

Dallas had no choice but to let him go.
....Texans overpaid....and made him a starter....I happy for the guy and wish him the best of luck.

This is all on Jerry.

He had a chance to lock this kid up for 3-4 years last year. Instead, he offered him a 850k/one year deal.

They had to know what they had in this kid.

Don't they watch their own players in practice?

Next, you blow what cap room you have, on a 35 year old ILB, that Bill P didn't want.

yeah, uneducated, Jerrah and company knew EXACTLY what they had in Reeves. ALL he has is speed. No game instincts. That is why he never makes many plays- even playing off he should have made a LOT more plays.
He is just like Randall Williams= speed but that is all.

They did know what they had in him. That is why he is gone.

sure they know what they had in him. far more than his poster boy for misplaced fandom.

so, knowing what they had, they let him go.

you live in denial. that's ok. egypt suits you.

The 35 year old that I guarantee will give more than our current 54 who the great Bill P hand picked.

Whenever Reeves was on the field in an obvious passing situation... I always got the same feeling of dread that I used to get when QC dropped back to pass....

Good Riddance and Good Luck Mr. Reeves

I agree ......

If you take away all of Reeves bad plays .....

He is an average CB.

What does that tell you?

It tells you he sucks. They attempt to justify him being an average player, by the "but" - any time you have to say "but" to defend a player.. it's usually not good. If you're ONLY average after your THREE worse plays of the season - you sure as hell aren't good.

then dude - haul your happy hiney to miami and keep worshiping at the alter of parcells. the fact of the matter is that the patriots and while you may have their coach, has won and THEY wanted him too. other top teams wanted zach.

but as usual you just work you tail off to say something more stupid than the last incredibally stupid thing you said.

in short, you redefine stupidity a lot.

good question

You just have to question some of the personnel decisions that have been made...since Bill left.

Anytime you lose a player like Reeves [25 yrs old, 4.3/4 speed] and sign an old player like Zack [who's done] then something is wrong.

Instead of drafting to replace Henry in 2009, we are gonna have to draft to replace Reeves in 2008.

We needed to draft a corner in 2007.
