If Byrd is active, then Street is probably inactive. I don't see 6 WRs on the 46 man game day roster.

Byrd is better on ST. Street is only going to be active if someone gets hurt.

Devin Street hasn't shown much this camp and doesn't seem to do much on special teams...
If I were king, I would just cut him and try and put him and Boyd on PS. I think Byrd should
make the team based on play and special teams effort. JMVHO!

Byrd would be better if they let Beasly walk and keep Harris for return work. you want to move the chains? you put Dez in the slot and there you go. get ready to see that more anyway. then y ou put Terrance out wide on one side right and you got 6'4" 220lbs Byrd on the other who is fast to. that is a lot of big fast dudes running around to cover and you got protection uh oh. if you need you let Murray or Dunbar or Witten or Escobar take you pick go out in the flat maybe just run lol whatever

I don't think it pays to substitute quantity for quality in this scenario. We could have a dozen DTs and it wouldn't make a difference if none of them were really able to make an impact. Byrd has an impact level of ability. We have too many one-trick ponies at DT. That's a problem. Perhaps we should acquire a DT who could actually rush the passer AND stuff the run. Let's try that instead.

Byrd deserve to make this team, he's at worst the 4th best receiver on the team, and the only real option to play outside if Dez or Williams go down. You could also slide Dez in the slot and go big at WR with Williams and Byrd on the outside in 3WR sets.

do you really think he will contribute this year? think about the game day roster and shw me how he gets activated for a game. i like the kid and hope we can keep him but he is'nt going to contribute this year at all if kept. as much as i would like to keep and develope him the numbers may not work out. you have to have depth at every position and that means you may cut a better player at one position to have a worse player and another. thats the only way you can field a roster though and it happens all the time. the JAG you keep at tackle is going to see the field every week. the last wr on the roster is not going to be active

You can almost guarantee that Dez will be hurt this year. With the way he plays, it's almost a certainty.
