There lies the predicament. Do you have room on the roster for 3 QBs? Do you pray he clears waivers and makes it on the PS? Do you just drop Weeden and gamble that Vaughn can start in a game if Romo goes down?
I like Vaughn a lot. But with Tony's back there's no way you go into this season with an undrafted rookie as primary backup.
I agree, but do you really think Weeden can win you games? I'd rather go with the rookie go 1-15 or worse and just take it as an "off" year and perhaps get some players in here. I hate the idea of losing, but I'm so sick of 8-8.
There is enough on this offense to win even if Weeden is QB. They were close to winning last year with Orton and I think they have improved the offense this year.

smart words, but neither of these two is the answer nor neither will start for the Cowboys. "If" Tony goes down..well, with this defense i can't even be positive.I like Vaughn a lot. But with Tony's back there's no way you go into this season with an undrafted rookie as primary backup.
