The Detroit franchise hates everything about the Dallas franchise for some reason and there's a built-in disdain for Jerry. It might be Dan Campbell

Put it this way, no coach who has an option will come here. Think about it, McCarthy is the 2nd lowest paid HC in the NFL, only one lower is the dude in Cleveland. McCarthy also has to deal with the meddling of Jerry Jones and has no say even in who his assistants should be. Does anyone think that Bill Bellichick would work in this conditions? Ben Johnson? Vrable? No person in their right mind that has an option will consider the Dallas Cowboys as a premier HC-ing destination.

Whose to say the Eagles would even give Dallas permission to speak to/interview KM?

KM is off coord in Philly.

If Dallas wants to interview him for the head coaching job, Philly can't stop him because it's an upward move. They can only stop him from interviewing for lateral moves, per the rules.

Wisdom and good sense could stop him from interviewing for DAL head coach job though!

Good coaches don't want to jump on a sinking ship and get the stank of losing on them, which our next HC inevitably will. Better to be patient and see if they can latch on with an ascending team

this is who we missed out on. Of course he may not have wanted to work for Jerry. I'm getting more and more frustrated with this front office every day.
