Kellen Moore is overhyped

I’m not sold on Kellen Moore; boy wonder. When he goes against a real coach he doesn’t adapt. The running game is a direct reflection of Kellen Moore, he has no idea how to scheme runs, he’s all about the passing game and when he gets figured out he doesn’t adjust.

I know everyone likes to blame Dak but that’s way off.. Dak isn’t going to run the offense like Manning, Brady or Rodgers, he’s a qb that needs a legit coach to scheme a game plan for him. He’s a solid qb not a freaking transcendent talent. So again it falls on the coach to do his damn job and come up with a game plan to win football games. The junk Kellen Moore was throwing out their against real competition was embarrassing.

Personally Kellen Moore can kick rocks, I’m not sold on him at all. I would much rather try and keep Dan Quinn. I mean he turned the worst defense we’ve had in years around in one off-season. You can see the coaching.

What’s the fascination with Kellen Moore?
Very True.....

I wish Jerry would fire Moore but, he will likely be the cowboys next head coach .
I wish I could find that emoji that's shoots himself in the head:banghead:

It seems like Moore calls plays like his offense has no limitations. Really lacks a feel for the game when the sledding is tough.

I don’t know but if they think Dak’s arm is ever going to win them anything then it’s all a lost cause.

The Cowboys only path to success is doing what the 49ers do.

Use a few formations and throw a bunch of different looks out of it with a heavy run game that’s explosive.

Making Dak play like Tony Romo is a good way to catch Ls.
He’s been playing like Romo and has a better win % than Romo so how does this take make sense?

Moore is only hyped up cause of JJ. Just because he’s smart doesn’t mean he’s a great football coach. Jason Garret was smart as well. Means nothing.

If you just look at numbers I guess it doesn’t make sense. If you watch football games and look at both players skill then it makes perfect sense.

Just like last season when Andy Dalton had a better win % than Dak but clearly Dak is a better player.

My advice would be to stop looking at statistics and start watching football games.

Dak Prescott isn’t even a playmaker. Tony Romo was clearly that.

I watch every single cowboys game bro nice try tho

I agree. And I live across the street from BSU..everytime they need something to talk about here on sports radio, which is a lot, its Kellen.

Kellen Moore is bringing me back memories of Jason Garret when he first became the cowboys OC. Remember we had a top offenses and how Garret was thought to have a "brilliant mind". But then the NFL figures him out and he doesn't adapt or change his ways. Kellen Moore is looking the same. That's what separates the ok OC's from the great OC's. Great OC's know when the game plan isn't working and can switch gears. I hate all of these stop routes or routes that take our wr's out of bounds as soon as they catch the ball.

the offense went downhill After the denver game ,

it was an embarrassment . We knew we would go 1 and done with his playcalling ., because this offense got exposed bad .

Getting exposed is normal in the NFL , but the good OC's adjust, manage, change the playcalling, etc...

I dunno.

He did coach us to a very high ranking offense. The fact that they ran out of steam by the end doesn't make me think he has no future or no business coaching an offense.

Mike Zimmer coached our defense in 2003 to a high ranking, but they "ran out of steam" or "got exposed" late in the season with several embarrassing performances where opposing offenses shredded his defense and he had no answers. It didn't magically make Zimmer a bad coach who had no business running a defense or who had no future in coaching. And when he left and ran a Bengals defense that was pretty good, our fanbase spent years wishing we could have him back. The good things he did in 2003 before the bad finish weren't smoke and mirrors or a fluke. I feel the same about Kellen.

At the end of the day, Kellen is still the coach who put together a brilliant plan to attack a Tampa defense fresh off carrying its team to a trophy. And the same coach who did things to Bill Belichick's defense that Bill Belichick defenses don't routinely allow anyone to do to them. He's got it in him.

I think he badly needs a change in OL coaches, since it was bad o-line play that doomed us.

I think he probably also needs more young, fresh position coaches he can bounce ideas off or get helpful feedback from. Joe Philbin is 60. Doug Nussmeier is 51. Adam Henry is 49. Skip Peete is 58. The team went out of their way to put a young mind in place as the coordinator, but then they panicked and decided they needed to mitigate that decision as much as possible. So they packed the staff with a bunch of tired old hacks to influence us as much as possible back towards familiar, old, safe, conservative ground. It's like we hired a bunch of hall monitors because we'd made up our minds before-the-fact that the kid was gonna try to run too fast.

Who can ever forget all those amazing plays Romo made in the 2007 Divisional loss to the Giants.

You know what's really overrated? Our OL. Disappeared in every big game. Kellen in BS too though.

Kellen Moore is NOT overhyped and has done his best having a Tier 3 QB running his offense.
You put an A1 Jockey on a horse headed for the glue factory and what exactly are you expecting?
Excuses and more excuses and year 7 coming up and expect the same inept offense to keep struggling against playoff teams no matter who the OC is on the sidelines.....
This is Dak friendly and one and done is the best possible scenario if we make the playoffs in 22.....

most owners and gm will be looking at Moore and will be saying, "this guy took that scared, slow reader, dak prescott, and almost made him look like a starter, just think what he can do will a real quarterback like ours. if he can get that out of a starting backup my gosh what can't he do for us"

How many OC and HC are going to be sacrificed till Jerry has the coconuts to finally admit to his colossal mistake concerning Prescott????

never happen. jerry never admits he's wrong. he's working on 27 years of just being held back by the NFL and the refs. I like the way he thinks, sorta like his dumb fans.
