So Garrett doesn't believe in earning your job through competition, because Moore got totally outplayed in every game.

Figures, not like Garrett earned his job either.

By throwing underneath in the middle of the field on a prevent defense and then trying to fit a pass to Beasley in the RZ and turning it over.

He had 50 passes that game.

9 yrds per attempt is good by any standard!

Based on who we have on this team.....I get why he's the backup. They are more comfortable with him then they are Rush a rookie. I get it.

Its just sad.

You keep Cooper Rush because you are afraid someone would claim him if you let him go.

So you let Moore go.....because you KNOW no one will claim him....and you bring him back to be the #2.

Its just silly logic. Its probably not even Cowboys logic. I think its NFL logic.

My logic is that while I honestly think this team feels more comfortable with Moore than they do Rush.......I'd rather have Rush. If Dak was to get hurt I'd rather lose with Rush and get a solid pick then lose with Moore just to play .400 football.

He can't.

One game doesn't somehow prove that he can.
Well it does though. You don't just get blessed with Super Saiyan powers out of nowhere and are able to throw down field. Moore's arm is good enough to quarterback this offense. I just don't think he's good enough to do it.

Do you expect anything less from this inept coaching staff? The fact this loser is even on this roster should tell you everything you need to know about them. The fact they think he is a competent backup in the first place.

Linehan loves to run the deep in. A noodle is a good way to get those picked off as Moore has proven time and again.

Keep trumpeting the fact that they're holding into a lousy player like it's an accomplishment Fisher!

It's amazing that someone so old can still act like a child.
32 teams in Dallas' situation would do exactly the same thing. Bear that in mind.

I

its not a big deal, because if Dak goes down we're Scewed regardless. I feel bad for Rush, he earned it and his ceiling is 3x higher than noodle arm. How do you cut a player and then turn around and make him active ?

This a loser's mentality. I'm sure you thought the same thing last year when Romo went down. Dak was an unproven rookie no one know how he would perform.

Brady and Kurt Warner both came in as backups.

This whole notion of throwing up your hands and giving up on the season if your starter goes down is ignorant. You absolutely need a competent backup QB.

Had Terrance Williams, Jason Witten, Cole Beasley, Brice Butler.

And Robert Turbin and Devin Street. Dez was out that game and Butler had four of his 16 catches on the year in that game - out of 10 targets.

Actually there are a ton of teams that have over the years had a rookie backup QB.

Not an undrafted small college guy on a team like Dallas that has high expectations right now.

I get why the Bears are doing it. Or the Rams last year. But those were No. 1 picks in the draft on teams that have no real playoff hopes.
