The people I'm addressing, LIKE YOU believe Rush is the best quarterback on the team....

Stick to the questions I originally asked....

If Rush is so good as a quarterback.... why has he spent most of his 7 year career on and off PRACTICE SQUADS?? If he is so good as a quarterback, why haven't 31 other scouts, GMs, offensive coordinators, and head coaches, ALL OVER THE NFL come knocking down the Cowboys door for Rush's services as a starting NFL quarterback??

Rush has been in the NFL for 7 years. Are all these other scouts, GMs, offensive coordinators, and head coaches LEAGUE WIDE really that stupid?

Well Dak has been in the league for 7 years and has not won squat yet he is heralded as a Top 8 QB and paid near one so if anything all that separates Dak and Rush is Dak's ability to BS his way to pretending to be a QB.

Rush has been in the NFL for 7 years now and has bounced around practice squads for a living.

SInce signed on as an UDFA following the 2017 NFL draft, Rush has been with Cowboys his SIX years in the league, except for a 6-month stretch from May through October 2020, when he was waived by Dallas, then signed on with the Giants (with their new OC Jason Garrett).

Rush became the Cowboys' backup QB before the sixth game in 2017 - his rookie season.
Since that point, Rush only appeared in 5 games total in the three seasons from 2017-2019....but he was the Cowboys QB2 during the entire time.
In October 2020, Rush rejoined the Cowboys on their practice squad after Prescott's season-ending injury and Andy Dalton was concussed during a game when he became the starter.
2021 - Rush beat out Garrett Gilbert and Ben DiNucci to become the Cowboys backup for that season.
2022- Rush began the season on the Cowboys' practice squad, but was activated to the roster and entered game 1 (vs. Tampa Bay) when Prescott was injured. When Prescott returned to action 5 games later, Rush went back to being QB2.
2023 - Rush signed a two-year deal in the offseason with Dallas.
Two weeks from today, he will begin his 7th season as the Cowboys backup QB2.

That's fair. But in all honesty, Dak has only played 6 healthy seasons. Now in no way am I saying Dak is better or will have a better career than the FIRST two quarterbacks I'm about to mention, but....

In their first 6 healthy seasons, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Matt Stafford and a few other good to great quarterbacks didn't win squat either.

Did you keep the same energy?? Remember, those other quarterbacks were drafted in the 1st and 2nd rounds. So if you didn't keep the same energy in THEIR first 6 healthy seasons on not winning squat, then your just another fraudulent hypocrite.

Actually, if you look at it, the Trey Lance trade is the first time in the Dak era that the Cowboys brought in a QB that has the potential be a starting QB in this league. Dak should be on notice. As for Kellen Moore, it's obvious now that McCarthy never wanted and probably accepted having Kellen as OC just to get the head coaching job. I don't know if Kellen got screwed but the situation wasn't exactly fair either.

sorry, trey lance had the potential 2 years ago before the draft. now, with what everyone has seen. its a big big question mark. he has the arm, the skill and running ability, but he struggles as an NFL QB. the game is way too big for him.

Look...Trey Lance may not be the answer...but @ least he puts #4 on notice.

Fully expect this season to be a complete failure now...Now that we have traded for a QB controversy.

I expect Rush to be traded to the Chargers...and truth be told...he's probably the best of all 3.

When RUSH was starting the defense wasn't being over worked which helped the team to a 4-1 record. When WENTZ 2.0 returned the defense would barely get off the field before WENTZ 2.0 would end with quick 3 and outs or turnovers and our tired defense would have to play extra downs because of his sorry play.

What is the high reward? He is not playing either of the next 2 years, barring injury, and then he is a free agent and leaves. It is more low risk low reward.

Well, think of it as kicking the tires. We get to see him.first hand and decide do we keep hi. Or let him go. A developmental guy. It's like spending a 4th round pick in the draft.

Trey undoubtedly has potential but he is a developmental project. The 9rs settled for a 4th round pick. That does not correlate to throwing Kellen Moore under the bus who is happy having gone to the Chargers. It's all good.

If you remember Wentz was supposed to bring numerous SB trophies to Philly, instead his eradicate play cost him his career in Philly. Unfortunately, for the Cowboys, they have their own Wentz in Prescot, his play in meaningful games is a joke! WENTZ 2.0 is an over hyped, overpaid, less than mediocre slug who can't take his play to the next level. When his career is over, he'll NEVER sport a gold jacket because he'll NEVER lead any team to any NFC, AFC or SB Championship games....................
