Kellen Moore once again thrown under the bus by the Cowboys

Actually, if you look at it, the Trey Lance trade is the first time in the Dak era that the Cowboys brought in a QB that has the potential be a starting QB in this league. Dak should be on notice. As for Kellen Moore, it's obvious now that McCarthy never wanted and probably accepted having Kellen as OC just to get the head coaching job. I don't know if Kellen got screwed but the situation wasn't exactly fair either.
A number 3 pick for a 4th rounder doesn’t happen every day. This has nothing to do with Moore. Certainly there have been no opportunities the past 4 years to get a QB who might challenge the starter in a few years. Dak isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

No QB controversy. Dak is heads and shoulders better than Lance and it isn't even close. Lance has to really develop just to get to mediocre.
He had a 97% pass ratings . Still no controversy but definitely potential.

No I agree that this is a great opportunity for the Cowboys. Low risk-high reward.

Just amazes me they finally try to upgrade the QB position after Kellen is gone.

Look...Trey Lance may not be the answer...but @ least he puts #4 on notice.

Fully expect this season to be a complete failure now...Now that we have traded for a QB controversy.

I expect Rush to be traded to the Chargers...and truth be told...he's probably the best of all 3.

But when has Jerry ever found a QB ?

Comments.....
All bets are on that Jerry will take up 30 minutes about all the great things he has done. During the game tonight.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Open the link, go to this other thread and read my Lance 2023 preseason with 49ers analysis. This Lance kid has so many flaws, I don't see how he can get fixed or even helps the Cowboys.

If Rush is the best of all 3, may as well trade him because they are not winning anything with him at QB. If the trade for Lance creates a QB controversy, get rid of the other QBs as a well, because Lance is a developmental player.

What is the high reward? He is not playing either of the next 2 years, barring injury, and then he is a free agent and leaves. It is more low risk low reward.
They could get him cheap at that point if they decide to keep him further and he proves himself as a solid backup… OR he raises his value enough to get a solid return in a trade.

Truth be told, if it weren't for RUSH last season Prescot would have had a losing season last year! Prescot rode the coat tails of RUSH when he came back. Rush showed everyone that this team didn't need a gunslinger to win, they just needed a levelheaded QB who could manage a game while the defense was cut loose to dominate it's opponents. Unfortunately, when Prescot returned he got in a bad habit of helping out our opponents with all those interceptions!
Rush has been in the NFL for 7 years now and has bounced around practice squads for a living.

During those same years, Dak has earned a max contract and has been amongst the top 10 quarterbacks in this league most of his career. Who's coattails are being rode again?

Now if Rush is so good at quarterbacking..... why has he failed to become a starter in 7 years with ANY NFL franchise??? Are the other 31 scouts, GMs, offensive coordinators and head coaches that stupid??? Maybe all of Rush's game film disappeared for seven years.

Please explain.....

(Here's when these types of trolls disappear and ignore the question because they'll look even dumber trying to justify low IQ comments)

That and the fact that one of the greatest offensive coaches just gave up on him for a couple of mediocre qbs.

They can't be that mediocre when both QBs have eliminated Dallas last seasons. The Lance trade has more to do with Shanahan making a commitment to Purdy that hasn't lost a game in the NFL than Lance inability to play.

They didn't turn the ball over. Big difference. And you don't give up on a first round draft pick when you gave up that much to get him just out of loyalty. If they believed in him he would still be there.

KM now does not have an HC/OC looking over his shoulder.

He has one of the most talented QBs in the league.

I don't think he has any complaints...

He is not going to realistically raise his value beyond what was paid for him especially when next year he will have 1 year left on his deal. Maybe they flip him for a 6th next year but there is not exactly some massive upside here.

The decision was made to move on from Lance because Purdy was the better fit. No need to start the season with a QB controversy. Purdy will eventually have a few bad games and having Lance behind him wouldn't be ideal.

Quit your whining and crying about RUSH! The man was given an opportunity to QB the Cowboys after WENTZ 2.0 went down and he passed with flying colors. He didn't come in and throw a bunch of interceptions or lead the league in 3 and outs, he came in and gave his team a chance to win games. During his run at QB, his play allowed his defense to play their best football of the year because they weren't over worked because he didn't turnover the ball like WENTZ 2.0 did. The whole team worked as one unit, whereas when WENTZ 2.0 came back his defense worked their ***** off because of all the turnovers and 3 and outs! If personal stats won games the Cowboys would have the MVP of the league and would have won 3 or 4 SB trophies under their belts with WENTZ 2.0 leading the team, but unfortunately stats don't win games and WENTZ 2.0 isn't ever going to win a SB because he's an over hyped, overpaid less than mediocre wannabe a leader of men....................

And like the typical type im talking about.... you danced around the question like Chris Brown.

The people I'm addressing, LIKE YOU believe Rush is the best quarterback on the team....

Stick to the questions I originally asked....

If Rush is so good as a quarterback.... why has he spent most of his 7 year career on and off PRACTICE SQUADS?? If he is so good as a quarterback, why haven't 31 other scouts, GMs, offensive coordinators, and head coaches, ALL OVER THE NFL come knocking down the Cowboys door for Rush's services as a starting NFL quarterback??

Rush has been in the NFL for 7 years. Are all these other scouts, GMs, offensive coordinators, and head coaches LEAGUE WIDE really that stupid?

Now are you going to answer the questions I originally asked, or are you going to continue to be the typical coward that dodge direct questions? Here's your chance lil guy.
