It honestly is a good thing. Mainly, because the Mohicans are dwindling in number.

In order for a coach to be lame duck, it must be certain that this season is his last and that is not the case. Just because they didn't extend him doesn't mean they won't.

What would throw a wonderful kink into this would be for Garrett to hook up with another team and not even give them the chance to extend him.

Lame duck is a coach in his last year of a contract. And I have little doubt that Garrett will be resigned. But it just shows how Jerry feels about him. Just another Jerry puppet/whipping boy. And of course the hapless Garrett is just lucky to have a job and takes it.

Please......... Moore is nothing more than a scapegoat. No one expects him to do well, and when the season goes to hell he will get the blame and the pink slip while JG slides by yet again. Jerry set it up this way on purpose.

Nonsense post. What would intentional failure and a scapegoat do for Jerry? Would it make the team more money? Would it make Jerry look like the "football guy" he wants to be seen as? What would be the benefit to Jerry and the Cowboys?
