Kellen Moore

This is very true. However there is also the possibility the Prescott passes him in camp and preseason

It might have taken him longer, though to get a fair look. Dak was not supposed to do much at all this season. 2 injuries moved him right to the front.

But the Moore injury got him to the spot of being the backup. Even though at the time, we were scrambling (or the media was) to try and find a backup. People like Foles and the likes. So glad we didn't go that route.

This was the perfect storm of an offseason, even if it came at the expense of Romo and Moore (people are lying if they say they care about Moore anyways). We now have a legit future.

My guess is had Moore not gotten injured he and Dak would have battled it out for the starting job and I still think Dak would have ended up the starter. He wouldn't have gotten as many preseason snaps had Moore not gone down but I think he would have gotten enough to beat Moore out. Dak looked great with every opportunity he got in preseason.

We are doomed if Moore is the backup next year. Romo will be. Jerry's not giving him away for peanuts just because fans don't like his contract.

You don't get it. It's not just money.

Getting out from under that contract...gives the team ten or fifteen million dollars... permits the Cowboys to retain players we would otherwise lose...or perhaps go out and grab a stud wide receiver and a pass rusher.

Moore sucks,i would rather have Sanchez behind our oline than a guy who cant throw beyond 10 yards.

How was the plan for Moore to be the starter? Moore was hurt in early August prior to Romo's most current injury.
I know that Moore was injured in camp before Romo's injury in the 3rd preseason game and that is what I believed the plan was whether the team planned it that way or not is a moot point now.
