Kelvin Joseph has been unimpressive

mr tyke-it turned out that picture was a young Tom Landry.....and i wish i was young....63 this October....but thanks anyway
My bad. Again, wasn't trying to be condescending. I guessed we older folks would have known what Landry looked like, but upon looking at the picture again, I can see how even guys at our age wouldn't recognize the great Tom Landry in military clothes.

My apologies.

He has been really unimpressive in the preseason games. Hopefully he can improve but so far he looks pretty bad for a 2nd round pick.

Pick had bust written all over it. He will wash out of the league entirely by 2024.

KJ reminds me of Taco C. Cowboys need to rethink their 2nd round strategy and just stick to BPA.

tykes its all good.....i use to have the sharpest memory but its been slipping lately

Never seen a guy that sucks in preseason turn out to be good though.

CB Joseph didn't "suck" in the preseason.

The biggest and last play that he gave up was obvious offensive PI that was not called. The announcers laughed about the obviousness of it.
- Refs can't call everything in the preseason or the games would last 10 hours.

I have. Many times. Just last year Trevon Diggs sucked for the first half of the season.
The majority of his "bad" plays were actually the fault of the Safeties.

  • Example:
    • Diggs often played off-coverage with outside leverage which means that he must have help on in-breaking routes.
    • If the Safety bites up against the run or otherwise abandons his area, then then generally the best outcome for the CB is that he tackles the WR after the catch and does not allow significant YAC.

Lol @ this thread.

With Rookies I’d wait at least until Thanksgiving before proclaiming they suck.

They’ve been in training camp for a month. These dudes are worn out and ready for a break before the season starts. On top of that they are learning something new and going against guys at the highest level.

At least wait until November.

Not saying yay or nay, sometimes you can tell, certain folk just don’t have it.

mr Ik8701---- you are not wrong...but it sometimes does take couple of years for db's to really catch on....i am hoping this is the case for bossman Fat...that he is just adjusting to worlds best receivers and QB's..i still think we
made good choice taking him in second round...Diggs was getting a bit burned early in season last year and he seem to catch on....what do you think?

How much athletic ability does he have with a lingering groin injury? He's not going to get much "coaching up" while he's on IR.

i still like Bossman Fat....he will get better once healthier and we game plan..in my lowly opinion.....Go Cowboys

He'll get an opportunity down the road only when someone gets hurt. He wasn't outperforming our current starters even when he was healthy.

mr Khiladi---- i believe as time passes and Jospeh groin heals and is a part when we game plan on defense he will look a lot better....i think that groin bothered him more than after that play against Texans?.....any thoughts?

mr Joe yes it was disappointing but hopefully he is the type that takes a little longer before light bulb goes off?
