if this happened to you - i'm sure the first thing you wouldn't do is go to the police. You'd likely one be shook up and not even want to mention it to anyone for several days, after that's died down it's likely he went to his legal representation to figure out the best possible outcome. How do we know the Cowboys and his legal team advised him "not" to go forward until more evidence was presented? Once they realized it was the YKDV chains (idiots) on their clothes, that's when he became affiliated. At that point the best outcome was to go forward and provide authorities with information. The court of public opinion is a real thing. Though he may not have been charged yet, it is very hard to imagine he had no idea what was going on. You think he was just hitching a ride and suddenly someone in the car pulls out a gun and kills someone? Public opinion usually sides with the most likely explanation. If Zeke gets 6 games for something he didn't do, it is not hard to imagine the commish coming down like a ton of bricks on this kid.
The question for the team isn't did he do it so much as will he be available.
This guy comes from the gutter, the last thing he's thinking about is snitching on a murder. You guys never walked his shoe's, some folks living a comfortable life on this board have never been remotely close to a situation like this, so to give advice is pure speculation and stupidity. Unfortunately for some of these players their "life" before football will stain them for the rest of their life.
