The court of public opinion is a real thing. Though he may not have been charged yet, it is very hard to imagine he had no idea what was going on. You think he was just hitching a ride and suddenly someone in the car pulls out a gun and kills someone? Public opinion usually sides with the most likely explanation. If Zeke gets 6 games for something he didn't do, it is not hard to imagine the commish coming down like a ton of bricks on this kid.

The question for the team isn't did he do it so much as will he be available.

I've got friends in Baton Rouge. I've been to multiple drug dealer's houses in South Baton Rouge. Whatever, "comfortable life," I've earned for my family doesn't reflect on how I grew up. Just because someone grew up in a bad neighborhood doesn't give them a license to be bad. We're also not talking about some guy stealing bread here.

We know KJ was an All State athlete at a magnet high school. He was recruited by LSU, Alabama, Auburn, FL. St. and Florida. He screwed up at LSU and got suspended but was ultimately picked up by Kentucky. He wanted to quit on his team in Kentucky but the coach wouldn't allow him to suit up and not play. Then he got drafted by the least accountable GM in American sports. He's made $3.9 million so far with the Cowboys.

Sorry, but that sounds like a privileged life when I think about the kids he grew up with. Would we give them the same benefit of the doubt? Why is it unreasonable to give him agency and expect he do the right thing? This reflex of dismissing his agency based on his neighborhood isn't doing those neighborhoods any favors.

I grew up in a neighborhood just as bad or worse than Baton Rough and only got stabbed once was shot at a few times luckily the people were really bad shots

Totally different but not the way you are going. Both Zeke and Watson have female accusers that said they were assaulted. Joseph has not been charged or accused of anything.

Growing up poor does not excuse ANY of this behavior. Many NFL players come from poverty and aren't getting entangled in drive-by murders in the offseason. ALL of this mess is a direct result of poor CHOICES made by Joseph himself.

I was responding to a poster trying to paint Josephs poor choice as a direct result of growing up poor which is absurd. Since Joseph actually does have choices, especially now, we have to assume that he enjoys being around this kind of violence and people living life in this way.
