I thought this guy would play a lot more and take over Brown's spot, but damn I was wrong. He's been a major disappointment , he's played only 6 snaps on defense. I know it's early, but damn, this guy is earning that bust label real quick.

Aside from Joseph, I don’t understand the obsession with replacing Brown. He’s a damn good CB and has been even better this year than last. He’s going to get a nice contract this coming offseason.

Next year when Brown is gone, Joseph, Bland, and Wright will all be trying for that spot. May the best man win.

Until then, we have good depth and a good gunner on ST’s. Yes you want your 2nd round pick doing more than that, but if he’s a good starter next year and the year after then it’ll be a lot less disappointing. We’ll have to see.

He’s just not better than Brown. A good problem to have. He was raw when we drafted…..work him in slow.

Yea brown is solid as long as he's not going against a speedster which is only a handful of guys.

I've been impressed with him as a gunner this season. I have a feeling there will inevitably be an injury to Brown or Diggs that will give him some meaningful snaps this season at some point.

Yes, he really gets down the field as a gunner and gets off the blocker to make a hit. He's doing the dirty work for now. I didn't think he played poorly on the snaps he had to step in for Diggs, either, other than grabbing the face mask on that one play. I think given more opportunity on the field that his game as a corner could develop.

He had good coverage and what seemed like a PBU on one of the third downs he was in for Diggs.

Why give him meaningful snaps if he’s a night out on the town from getting suspended. Keep him where he’s at and if he can show some personal growth then we may have a player. I think they coaching staff / front office are handling him right. McCarthy may be a better coach than we were led to believe.

Kelvin Joseph was the youngest player in his draft class and only played a handful of college games. He was never going to just step in and become the next Dieon Sanders. If he can build some maturity and stay out of trouble we may have ourselves a really good player in a couple of seasons.
