thats a good perspective but the problem is that the draft is for getting cheap productive players. If they’re nut productive until year 3-4 when they will need to be paid, it’s a problem and believe me he will want to be paid
The draft is also the cheapest way to build quality depth. The Cowboys have shown this year is about next man up... that is a reflection of good drafts... it's all sunk cost in the end... just win!

Our starting crew is keeping 2nd round talent at bay... nice problem to have...

Let’s let the kid develop; as others have said he played very little in college and probably got by just on sheer athleticism and poor technique; clearly that won’t do anything for you at the pro-level.

It seems we (myself included) often judge a players’ potential success/failure based on their limited play relative to their draft position rather than ability. Clearly the kid has skills, and is getting good coaching. Hoping the staff continues to bring him along.

I will pass judgement on him until he takes the field for meaningful snaps.

Aside from Joseph, I don’t understand the obsession with replacing Brown. He’s a damn good CB and has been even better this year than last. He’s going to get a nice contract this coming offseason.

Next year when Brown is gone, Joseph, Bland, and Wright will all be trying for that spot. May the best man win.

Until then, we have good depth and a good gunner on ST’s. Yes you want your 2nd round pick doing more than that, but if he’s a good starter next year and the year after then it’ll be a lot less disappointing. We’ll have to see.
Brown is a really good CB
Fans just look at one game and think he gets a lot of penalties
And one stat and think he can’t play
It’s not just about ints and he rarely gets penalties

Brown and Diggs are good outside corners. I don't think Joseph is a great slot corner. So it might be when Brown's deal is up that he is asked to start. He has taken special teams play to heart though.....he has been excellent as a gunner.
